Yvaine stared at the screen. *...What?*
Was there something seriously wrong with Tabitha?
Yvaine's initial instinct was to ignore it, but eventually, she typed out a reply: *Oh. You're a bit late with that advice.*
Tabitha: *What do you mean?*
Yvaine: *I mean Silas and I are already husband and wife in every sense of the word.*
Tabitha: *How could you?! How could you do this to Zachary? You're such a disappointment.*
Yvaine didn't bother responding to that.
She got up, washed her face, and headed downstairs to grab something to eat.
Her parents were at work, and Evan was at school.
She had the entire house to herself.
Seeing she was awake, the housekeeper prepared a nice afternoon tea for her.
Yvaine was sitting in the living room, enjoying her tea and watching TV, when Tabitha suddenly showed up.
Tabitha had gone to the office looking for her first, and upon finding out she wasn't there, correctly guessed she was resting at home.
So, she came straight over.
Seeing Yvaine lounging comfortably on the sofa with her snacks and TV, Tabitha stomped over and sat right beside her.
"Yvaine."
Yvaine glanced at her but didn't say a word.
"Did you really... sleep with Silas?" Tabitha demanded.
Yvaine nodded casually. "Yeah."
"I don't believe you."
Tabitha genuinely didn't believe her.
Yvaine and Zachary had been together for years. Yvaine was deeply loyal; there was no way she could just jump into bed with another man so quickly.
She had to be bluffing.
Yvaine looked at her cousin, truly baffled by her obsession with this.
Why did it matter to her whether she slept with Silas or not?
Did Tabitha actually delude herself into thinking that if Yvaine got divorced, she would magically get to marry Silas?
