Chapter 240
CHAPTER 148
LILIANA’S POV
I walked into the mansion, ignoring the bewildered stares directed at me or the fact that I had blood and gore sticking to me.
I walked up the raised platform where the alpha seat was and sat down on the edge of the platform with my back to my stepbrother on
the alpha seat.
My eyes surveyed the crowd gathered before me, and I smirked. A child started wailing.
I didn’t blame it… I knew the blood covering my face was like a mask, and the smirk made me look like a maniac.
My eyes settled on the couple who were standing before me looking very uncomfortable, most especially my best friend… Make that
former best friend.
I gestured at them with my bloody blade.
“How messed up is this? Twisted if you ask me.” I commented, shaking my head and tsking my tongue at them.
My one-time best friend looked everywhere but at me, and I couldn’t blame her for feeling guilty. I focused on Damon instead, smiling sweetly. He didn’t return the smile.
“Miss me?” I asked in a girlie tone.
I felt movement behind me and turned around to see my stepbrother getting up from his seat and walking towards me, a look of surprise
on his face.
“Liliana, where have you been? We all thought something awful happened to you.” He came down from the platform and pulled me to my
feet, hugging me.
“Why are you here?” he whispered against my ear, intending I be the only one that heard him.
I grinned.
“You don’t seem surprised to see me.” I whispered back, and he drew back, pretending to inspect me.
“You might fool them, but you don’t fool me. I know everything.”
I noticed he discreetly made a sign with his fingers meant for Damon. So they were still tight? Sweet.

Chapter 240
“Guards!” Damon suddenly shouted out. “Seize her.”
I didn’t budge, tapping my feet against the floor and picking the grime beneath my nails with the tip of the katana.
Damon looked around anxiously as no guard showed up.
“Oh… I forgot. If you are expecting the guards, then don’t bother. They are all dead.”
The initial shock of seeing her passed, one of the older pack members stood up and challenged me.
“Why have you come back? You have no place here. You should have stayed in hiding wherever that was.”
I gave a small smile. “That’s where you are wrong. I do have a place here because this place belongs to me. And I’ve come to take it back. I have come to reclaim my place as Alpha.”
I looked at Tony. “Thanks for watching it for me, but I’ve come back to reclaim what rightfully belongs to me.”
“I have no problem giving you back the seat, but are you sure you really fit to be alpha? After all, you did kill our dad.” Tony stated lazily, all the while wearing a nasty smile.
Somehow it reminded me of Cassandra.
I held his gaze. “You and I both know that’s not the case.”
“Murderer. How dare you come back here and talk of reclaiming the alpha position after what you did?” someone else from the audience
