Chapter 241
“Oh, I intend to do just that.” I assured him.
Absent-mindedly, I noticed the surviving assassins from the ones Gerald had assigned to me step into the mansion also, their bodies
bloodied and battered and their number reduced.
I counted fifteen. Out of the fifty who had left with me, only fifteen were left.
Damon was outraged seeing them.
“Who are these filthy beings? How dare you bring your tainted selves into this place and disturb my wedding?” He shouted, the veins standing out on his neck.
“And how dare you open your filthy murderous mouth to address me?” I shouted back at him.

I went on in a calmer tone. “Didn’t I tell you to be patient and that your turn was coming? When I’m done with you, we shall see if there will still be a wedding or not.”
Damon shut up even though I could tell from his eyes that he wished I had stayed dead.
I then went on to narrate to everyone present what was the truth, not the distorted version Tony and Damon had fed them.
“… So you see, ladies and gentlemen, the person you think is a saint is actually a snake.” I concluded by referring to my brother.
I noticed that as I spoke, my best friend had been steadily putting distance between herself and Damon until he was the only one standing there.
The look on everyone’s face was one of shock, and I was hopeful that they might actually believe me.
If only I had Fiona’s recording…
My brother smiled and sat back down on the alpha seat. “That was a truly interesting story you told. I was really entertained.”
I was about to respond to him when someone stepped into the hall, swinging an incense. He was attired in a robe, and so were the two men with him.
He walked up to me and looked me in the eyes. “If what you say is true, child, can you back it up with facts?”
I looked at the man disdainfully. Of course I knew him. He was an equivalent to a judge around here, and he was on Tony’s side… had always been.
I told him yes, I had proof that implicated both Damon and Tony.

Chapter 241
Tony stiffened on his chair; I noticed while Damon produced sweat like he had a tank that was overflowing within him.
Stefan stepped out, and after greeting everyone, produced the letter sent to them by Tony’s best friend requesting the service of the
assassin pack to do away with a female alpha.
When Stefan was done reading the letter, a collective gasp sounded from the audience.
Tony held his hand up for the silence, and the hall was quiet.
The man who was like a judge walked up to Tony and leaned towards him as Tony whispered to him.
Finally he straightened up and cleared his throat.
“May I handle the letter for a moment?” he asked.
Stefan gave it to him, and he brought out a pair of reading glasses. After he was done, he replaced the glasses and handed them back to
Stefan.
He cleared his throat, indicating he wanted to speak, and everyone paid attention.
“It’s really compelling evidence, but the source is questionable,” he stated.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, though I wasn’t surprised. He was Tony’s man through and through.
