Chapter 171
Ray smiled faintly and waved his hand with authority. “Let’s go!”
This trip had been an incredible haul.
He’d absorbed a new ability, and on top of that, ended up “collecting” two stunningly beautiful women. Frankly, he wouldn’t mind making such a profitable trip every single day.
Even if he brought home hundreds of beauties, he could easily support them–not just for a year or two, but for a lifetime!
Katie was fuming, but what right did she have to lecture Ray? She could only glance at Molly and mutter, “Molly, you really need to improve your temper. Otherwise, you’ll always be the one losing out!”
Molly had no way to explain. How could she tell her sister that Ray wasn’t her boyfriend–not even a friend–but merely the ” boss” she had bartered herself to? If she did, Katie would probably blow up, refuse to leave, and insist on persuading her sister
to stay.
And Ray? He wasn’t the type to be reasoned with. He had fulfilled his promise, and if they tried to back out, he wouldn’t hesitate to shoot them–first one, then the other.
Molly tugged at her sister’s hand. “Katie, he and I aren’t a couple. Who he chooses is his business–I have no right to interfere. And he came because I asked him to help. Don’t provoke him.”
Katie looked at her sister, uncertain. Then she glanced at Jess, blinking her big eyes, still unsure what to make of the situation.
“C–can you take me too?” another girl suddenly asked.
Ray sized her up. Seventy points on the beauty scale–pretty, but not enough to warrant a ride to his villa. With his standards now, even Amanda and Emily would have barely qualified if they hadn’t gone to him earlier.
He shook his head. “My car can’t hold that many people.”
Four people was hardly “that many.” Even an ordinary five–seater could handle it, and who was checking for overload these days? This was an extended seven–seater G–Class, after all. He was simply declining politely.
The girl paled but dared not protest. After all, eleven of her classmates had already died under mysterious circumstances.
The other girls didn’t even dare speak. Most of them weren’t as attractive as this girl; some weren’t even close. Naturally, they didn’t want to humiliate themselves.
Ray chuckled. “Hurry up. If we waste any more time, the fog will roll in again.”
“Okay!”
The three nodded in unison. This was no joke.
They climbed into the car.
The moment Katie and Jess stepped in, they were stunned.
“Wow, it’s so warm in here!” Jess squealed, casting Ray an awed, worshipful look. “You’re amazing!”
Katie was shocked too, but Jess’s deliberate display made her nauseated. She snorted and turned her face away.
Ray just smiled and started the car.
The road was slick and tricky for a U–turn, but it didn’t matter. The campus roads were a maze, and after looping around, he drove straight out of the school gates.
Katie and Jess watched Senna University’s entrance gradually disappear behind them, feeling a mix of relief and wonder.

As the car vanished around a corner, a man dressed in autumn clothes appeared, frowning. “That’s the same car as yesterday, wasn’t it?” he muttered.
