My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce novel Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Lauren was right. They were about to starve to death. Why would they still be afraid of committing a crime?

Ray received a friend request.

He had been about to ignore it, but he noticed the remark.

I’m Honey’s sisterinlaw. My name is Amanda.

Oh?

Ray’s interest stirred, and he accepted the request.

Amanda: [Ray, do you have a lot of food and water?]

Ray: [Not a huge amount, but enough to survive.]

Amanda: [Can you sell me some?]

Ray: [Right now, food and clean water are life itself. Tell me, who would sell their own life?]

He said this deliberately, instantly elevating the importance of food and water.

As important as life.

But was he exaggerating?

Not at all.

Once the power went out tomorrow, everyone would realize that this disaster wasn’t going to end, and rescue wasn’t coming. And then they’d understand how precious food and clean water really were.

After a while, Amanda replied.

Amanda: [What can I do to make you give me food and water? I’m about to starve and die of thirst!]

Ray: [Send me a photo. Turn off the beauty filter. No filters of any kind, or you’ll deal with the consequences.]

Not long after, Ray received a photo.

It was taken at a scenic spot. A beautiful woman leaned against a rock, holding up a peace sign.

Her face was around an 8/10. Her figure was also around an 8/10.

Not goddesslevel, but unquestionably a beauty.

Ray: [Alright. Come over. You know where I am, right?]

Amanda: [I’m coming right now!]

Her messages stopped.

Chapter 52

A little while later, someone knocked on the basement door.

Ray checked the surveillance first.

He hadn’t installed just one camera, but three, covering the entire passage. There were no blind spots.

Only one woman stood outside, bundled in thick winter clothes.

It was Amanda. She looked almost identical to the woman in the photo.

Ray smiled and opened the door.

Amanda walked in. Ray closed it behind her.

Wow, it’s so warm in here!she said immediately, taking off her coat.

Her body was hot. Still, she couldn’t compare to Honey.

Thinking of Honey made Ray’s heart stir. When would he get to taste that kind of beauty?

Amanda didn’t notice. Her eyes were already glued to the food on the table.

There weren’t many dishes, but there was meat, fish, vegetables, and a bowl of soupchicken soup.
