Ray stepped behind the folding screen, brought out several dishes and a bottle of purified water, and set everything down. Then he motioned for Emily to come over.
The moment she saw the food on the table, she couldn’t help gulping
She was starving. And desperately thirsty.
She walked over and sat down.
Water first.
As the cold liquid slid down her throat, soothing the burning dryness, she felt so relieved she was almost moaning.
Then she started eating, wolfing it down.
Halfway through, she shrugged off her coat.
It was way too warm in here.
“You actually have electricity? And heating?” she asked in shock. Then she looked at Ray with pleading eyes. Can I stay here? You can do anything you want to me.”
Once she’d stepped inside, she really didn’t want to leave.
Ray, of course, refused.
Even Honey–who was prettier and had a better figure—wasn’t qualified to live here. Emily was even less so.
Having some fun was one thing. But if a woman was going to truly become his, she had to be untouched. The lesson Lauren had taught him was painful enough.
“Are you a virgin?” Ray asked flatly.
Emily’s face flushed. She shook her head.
She’d had a boyfriend since her sophomore year, and they’d lived together. There was no way she still was.
“But I’ve only ever had one boyfriend!” she hurried to add, trying to score some points.
Did it make a difference?
Ray didn’t bother wasting time on it. “Eat.”
Emily felt disappointed, but she didn’t dare disobey. She lowered her head and kept eating.
Satisfied, Ray gave her two packs of instant noodles and two bottles of water as her “reward.”
Normally it was one and one.
He was just about to send her on her way when the surveillance system issued another alert.

Someone else had arrived.
Another woman.
Ray bared his teeth in a grin. So now everyone knew he had supplies, and they were lining up to sell themselves?
Fine.
If the goods were good, he’d take them. If not, forget it.
He wasn’t greedy. He followed a boutique strategy.
Outside, the woman was just about to knock when the door suddenly opened. She froze–and then saw a young, pretty woman coming out.
The two women met face to face and instantly understood each other’s purpose.
The awkwardness was immediate.
Emily hurried away.
The other woman stepped inside and saw Ray coming out in a bathrobe.
She glanced at him, blushed, and quickly lowered her head.
Ray didn’t mind. “Are you here to make a deal too?”
Straight to the point.
The woman’s face was a little pale, but she nodded.
Ray smiled. “Look up. Let me see your face.”
You always inspected the merchandise before buying.
She raised her head.
About seventy points.
Ray felt a bit disappointed.
Sixty was the baseline for being considered pretty. Seventy was certainly above average.
But lately, Ray’s tastes had grown picky. Below eighty just didn’t do it for him anymore. Just like Amanda. If she weren’t bundled together with Honey, Ray wouldn’t even be interested.
After all, he had choices now.
After his rebirth, his physique had indeed improved drastically–better than more than 99 percent of people. But no matter how strong you were, could you really spend over half your time every day having sex?
“You should go,” Ray said, rejecting her. Still, he handed her a bottle of water and a pack of instant noodles. “At least you won’t have come for nothing.”
This was about building reputation.

This action of his was telling any beautiful woman in the neighborhood who had confidence to come on over. Even if business didn’t happen, at least she’d get some “travel expenses.”
The woman’s face went white at first, but when she saw the food and water, her eyes lit up. She took them quickly. “Thank you. Thank you.”
Ray “escorted” her out.
He was sure word would spread soon: Ladies, if you can’t survive, find Ray.
Still, in the whole neighborhood, Honey was probably the prettiest, the most seductive, with the best figure. Finding a second one like her would be extremely hard. And for anyone interested in being taken in and kept, they’d have to be a virgin.
Ray figured he’d be single with Leo for a long time.
Oh well, better none than the wrong one.
What surprised him was that Honey and Amanda didn’t come by today.
It looked like Honey had been hit pretty hard.
First, her husband betrayed her. Then he died. And she’d been one of the executioners.
Even though Justin would’ve died regardless of those extra knife blows, Honey couldn’t possibly see it that way.
Just yesterday, she’d been a virtuous wife willing to sell her body for her husband. In the blink of an eye, she’d become a woman who raised a blade against him.
If that didn’t shake her psychologically, that would be strange.
Ray smiled indifferently. Whether Honey ever got over it had nothing to do with him. It was just a pity if she couldn’t think it through.
Slowly, night fell.
A little after seven in the evening, Moe and his group arrived.
Bang, bang, bang–they knocked.
“Go to the garage,” Ray’s voice came through the hidden speakers.
So the six of them withdrew from the corridor and headed down to the garage.
Justin’s corpse hadn’t been dealt with.
If Ray didn’t handle it, no one would. With the bitter cold, the body had frozen solid. That was why, although the state of death was horrifying, there was no smell.
The six men frowned when they saw it.
No one felt comfortable looking at a dead body.
They’d come and gone in a hurry yesterday and hadn’t paid much attention. Today, retreating to this spot, they

all silently cursed their bad luck.
“Moe, we’ll wait for your signal,” Troy whispered.
Moe cursed inwardly. So they wanted him to rush in first?
Fine. This had been his idea to begin with. And if he made the first move, he’d naturally get a bigger share… like this villa.
“Alright,” he said, nodding.
At that moment, a beam of flashlight swept over, and Ray strode toward them.
“Check the goods,” Moe said, tossing a plastic bag at Ray.
Inside were the four used condoms.
The moment Ray opened it to inspect them, Moe would rush him, and Troy and the others would swarm in. Six grown men together–how could they not handle one person?
Without his water gun, Ray would be completely powerless.
