“Woof!” Leo let out a low growl, lips pulled back, vicious and feral.

Dogs were acutely sensitive to malice and fiercely territorial. Leo had long claimed the area beneath the villa as its domain. In the dead of night, this group had crept in quietly–they were clearly up to no good.

A dog that truly bites doesn’t bark.

Leo only growled once before silently closing in on the group, preparing a surprise attack.

Ray didn’t stop him.

In this kind of darkness, a dog was far more agile than a human.

He wasn’t worried about Leo getting hurt.
