My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 106

The words hung in the air, plunging the room into a suffocating silence.

Sebastian finally looked up at Sienna, his voice strained and gravelly. "What are you trying to say?"

Sienna paused, putting on a mask of pure innocence. "Nothing, I just think... their relationship is so sweet. Sera is pregnant, isn't she? Someone as powerful and busy as Lucian flew all the way from Capital City just to be with her. You saw them at the banquet last night. The way he looked at her, the way he protected her... that didn't look fake to me."

Sebastian's hands balled into fists, his knuckles turning stark white.

Seeing his visceral reaction, Sienna brutally bit down on her lip.

He still cared about that bitch.

If that was the truth, why did he even get involved with her to begin with?

Sure, she had made the first move, but if he hadn't wanted her, he could have just rejected her advances.

Sienna was furious, but she expertly maintained her gentle, understanding facade.

"Sebastian, Sera is doing well now. We should focus on our own lives, shouldn't we?"

Sebastian stared down at her.

Sienna was wearing a soft yellow dress, her long hair draped over her shoulders, her makeup light and immaculate. She looked the picture of gentle obedience.

She was always like this.

Gentle, considerate, agreeable—she never caused him any trouble.

But for some reason, looking at her right now, Sebastian just felt an agonizing emptiness in his chest.

"I need to wash my face," he abruptly stated, turning and heading for the bathroom.

Sienna stood glued to the floor, staring at his retreating back as the sweet smile completely vanished from her face.

Always.

Every single time Seraphina was mentioned, he shut down like this.

Sienna took a deep breath, walked over to the sofa, picked up her phone, and opened her gallery.

She stopped at a specific photo.

It was from the banquet last night. Sebastian was standing in the shadows, his eyes locked onto someone across the crowded room.

He was staring at Seraphina.
