Seraphina stared at the screen for two seconds before placing her phone face down on the table.
Tiffany, sharp-eyed as ever, leaned in and teased, "Who texted you? Your face is completely red."
"No one," Seraphina replied, taking a sip from her teacup to hide her reaction.
Tiffany gave her a mischievous grin. "Don't tell me it's Mr. Langford?"
Seraphina ignored her, turning to chat with the classmate sitting on her other side.
But the curve of her lips never faded.
In the VIP room next door, Lucian stared at his phone screen, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Standing nearby, Christian caught a glimpse of his boss's expression and sighed inwardly. In the business world, Mr. Langford was a ruthless tyrant, but in front of his wife, he acted exactly like an ordinary guy experiencing his first crush. It was almost pure.
Of course, he would never dare say that out loud.
He could only keep those thoughts strictly to himself.
Well, maybe not entirely ordinary.
After all, an ordinary man wouldn't casually open a bottle of 1982 Lafite just to show off at his wife's college reunion.
...
The reunion finally drew to a close.
Everyone slowly got up from the table. Some gathered for group photos, others exchanged contact information, and a few had drank too much, their words slurring together.
Tiffany hooked her arm through Seraphina's and whispered, "Sera, today was so satisfying. You should have seen Miranda's face when she left. She looked like she'd swallowed a fly."
"Alright, let it go," Seraphina gently patted her arm.
"Why shouldn't I talk about it? I remember exactly how she treated you back then," Tiffany scoffed. "Now she finally knows who really needs to beg for scraps."
Seraphina smiled helplessly.
"Sera, I'll take you home," Tiffany offered.
"It's fine, I'll..."
Before she could finish, the private room door was pushed open once again.
This time, it wasn't a server, nor was it Christian.
A tall, striking figure appeared in the doorway. His black dress shirt perfectly accentuated his broad shoulders and narrow waist, his sharp features and deep-set eyes completely commanding the space.
It was Lucian.
The people in the room froze, all eyes instantly drawn to the man at the door.
