My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 147

Seraphina's expression remained perfectly calm.

Before she could even respond, Little Bean exploded in her belly. "Mommy! Why is this woman so nasty? Did she eat garbage for breakfast? Her mouth is filthy!"

Seraphina let out a small, quiet laugh. The little guy had a point.

She gently rested a hand on her stomach and thought back to him, *You're getting sharper by the day.*

Little Bean huffed proudly. "Of course! I inherited my mother's brilliant intellect!"

Amused, Seraphina shook her head slightly before turning her cool gaze to Sienna.

"You're completely alone too, Sienna. Where's Sebastian? You look terrible. You really should be more careful. After all, that baby is your only bargaining chip to get into the Sullivan family."

Sienna's pale face instantly drained of whatever color was left.

Damn it. Was she cursing her baby?

"You don't need to worry about me. My baby and I are perfectly fine," Sienna said, straightening her posture to feign strength.

"But look at you—coming to your prenatal check-up all by yourself. Lucian couldn't even be bothered to show up. Looks like your position as Mrs. Langford isn't as secure as you thought."

Standing beside her, Zelda tugged at Sienna's sleeve, signaling her to back off.

Sienna was too weak right now to be picking fights with Seraphina.

But Sienna was fuming and refused to let it go.

"I heard the Monroe heiress grew up with Lucian. Their families are incredibly close. A perfect match. Unlike some people... securing a shotgun wedding. Who knows how long your little charade will last."

Her words were vicious, barely stopping short of calling Seraphina a fraud to her face.

Seraphina's demeanor didn't waver. Instead, the corners of her lips curled into a sharp smile.

"You're quite well-informed, Sienna," she said slowly. "But instead of obsessing over my life, you should probably focus on your own."

Seraphina's gaze dropped to the medical report clutched in Sienna's hand.

She couldn't see the exact words, but Sienna's ghostly complexion told her everything she needed to know.

"After all, if you lose that baby, you won't even have the chance for a shotgun wedding."

Sienna's face contorted with rage.

"You—!"

"Sienna!" Zelda quickly pulled her back, lowering her voice. "Calm down. The doctor said you can't get worked up."

Taking a ragged breath, Sienna glared daggers at her. "Don't get too smug, Seraphina. Let's see if you're still smiling when Melody drags you off your pedestal."
