Seraphina completely froze.
She repeated the words, her voice laced with absolute disbelief. "An illicit relationship?"
Lucian's tone was steady. "Yes."
"We have their entire chat history. I even had my team pull the security footage from a seedy motel. It's safe to say they've been carrying on an affair for a long time."
Seraphina lapsed into a profound silence.
She thought back to how Zelda constantly paraded around the Simmons Estate.
Zelda always carried herself with the arrogant poise of the rightful matriarch, taking every opportunity to belittle Seraphina just to ensure Samuel's attention remained solely on her.
Seraphina had always assumed that, despite her cruelty, Zelda's love for Samuel was genuine.
Now she realized it was all just a spectacular performance.
Her voice dropped to a barely audible whisper. "She always acted so deeply devoted to my dad..."
"I thought, at the very least, her feelings for him were real."
Lucian didn't say a word, simply offering his quiet, anchoring presence.
Seraphina suddenly felt a wave of dark amusement wash over her.
She lifted her chin, locking eyes with Lucian, her expression turning dead serious. "Do you still have the copies of that evidence?"
Lucian nodded. "I had Frank back everything up."
"Send it to me."
Lucian studied her for a moment, making no attempt to ask what she planned to do with the nuclear information.
He simply pulled out his phone and fired off a quick text to Frank.
Within sixty seconds, his phone buzzed. Frank had forwarded the encrypted files.
Lucian handed his phone over, letting her scroll through the damning evidence.
After reviewing the files, Seraphina spoke with chilling calm. "I don't plan on using this right now."
Lucian waited patiently for her to finish her thought.
"But if she ever dares to come after me again..."
Seraphina's tone was utterly devoid of mercy. "This is more than enough to bury her."
Little Bean cheered wildly in her mind. "Yes! Slay, Mommy! That's how you do it!"
Watching her, the faint shadow of a smile tugged at the corner of Lucian's mouth.
