My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 195

Lucas had quietly kept tabs on her life ever since. He knew she had gotten together with Sebastian Sullivan, which left him heartbroken for a long time.

When he found out she was caught in a scandal, he wanted nothing more than to fly back and be by her side. Now, he was finally home.

And she had taken the initiative to call him.

Lucas picked his phone back up, found a specific contact, and made the call.

"Jasper, I need some data. Can you pull it for me?"

The man on the other end, Jasper Vale, sounded sluggish. "What kind of data? Give me the details."

"It's a patent regarding new renewable materials."

He paused before adding, "Seraphina's."

Hearing this, Jasper's tone instantly sharpened. "Why the hell do you need her patent files?"

"Just tell me if you have them or not."

Jasper hesitated. "I do. I collaborated with her on a project a while back, so I have a few documents and data sets on hand. But it's not the complete file."

"Besides, this stuff is strictly bound by NDAs. If I leak it and get caught, I'm looking at a massive lawsuit."

"I'm not going to leak it."

Lucas lowered his voice. "I just need to look over some things for my own research."

Jasper fell quiet again, clearly torn.

Lucas pressed on. "Come on, man. We've known each other for years. Don't you trust my character?"

Sighing heavily, Jasper gave in. "Fine, I'll send it. But do not throw me under the bus."

"Don't worry, I won't," Lucas assured him.

"Alright, keep an eye on your inbox."

After hanging up, about twenty minutes passed.

Jasper emailed over a compressed file.

Lucas unzipped it, finding several documents and screenshots of complex data models.

While it wasn't the entirety of the patent, the core framework was all there.

Scrolling through the files, Lucas frowned deeply.

Seraphina's work on this was undeniably brilliant.

No wonder Sienna wanted to study it.
