My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 212

Standing in the shadows of the second-floor landing, Sienna let out a quiet sigh of relief.

The angrier Samuel was, the more it proved he cared.

And if he cared, he would take action.

Sienna retreated to her bedroom, slipped into a plain, unassuming outfit, and slowly made her way downstairs.

In the living room, Samuel's expression was thunderous.

Sienna walked up to him, keeping her head bowed submissively, and spoke in a tiny, fragile voice.

"Dad, I'm so sorry."

Samuel turned his harsh gaze on her.

Sienna's eyes were rimmed with red, her voice cracking as she fought back tears. "Dad, I know this is all my fault. I dragged the family into this."

"I swear I never thought it would spiral out of control like this. I thought Lucas Zimmer was a professional. When he gave me those files, I assumed they were clean. I only wanted to help Sebastian. I never meant to hurt our family."

Samuel's brow furrowed tightly. "What are you talking about? You're the one who gave those files to Sebastian Sullivan?"

Panic flickered across Sienna's face. "Dad, I didn't do it on purpose! Lucas told me he had technical data that could solve the Sullivan project's issues."

"I just figured... Sebastian helped me when I needed him, so I wanted to return the favor... I had no idea those files belonged to Seraphina. I swear."

Samuel's face darkened even further.

He stared at her in heavy silence for several seconds before letting out a sharp exhale and sinking heavily onto the sofa.

"Do you have any idea what people out there are saying about us?"

Tears finally spilled down Sienna's cheeks. "Dad, I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."

Standing nearby, Zelda's heart ached for her daughter, but she didn't dare say a word.

Samuel sat in suffocating silence for what felt like an eternity before finally speaking. "Enough. Stop crying."

Sienna looked up at him through her tears.

Samuel sounded incredibly weary. "I will handle this. Do not leave the house for the time being, and cut all contact with Sebastian Sullivan. Understood?"
