Meanwhile, on the other side of the capital, inside the luxurious Monroe estate.
Melody Monroe was lounging gracefully on the sofa, scrolling through her phone.
Harmony Banks came rushing through the front doors, practically vibrating with excitement, her phone clutched in her hand.
"Melody, have you checked the society gossip today?!"
Melody's tone was completely bored. "What gossip? I rarely pay attention to that stuff. It's so tedious. Always the same old drama."
Harmony thrust her phone into Melody's line of sight, practically bouncing on her heels. "This time is different! It's about Seraphina Simmons—the woman Lucian Langford married. Yesterday, she got into a massive showdown with the Sullivans at the expo center."
Melody's finger froze on her screen.
She glanced up and focused on Harmony's phone.
It was a crystal-clear video of the confrontation between Seraphina and Sebastian at the press conference.
Melody took the device from Harmony's hand and watched the footage from start to finish in total silence.
When it ended, she handed the phone back, a faint, amused curve playing on her lips. "Interesting."
Harmony studied her expression carefully, testing the waters. "Don't you think this Seraphina is a bit too much? Just constantly causing a scene?"
Melody let out a delicate, mocking laugh. "Causing a scene?"
"I think it's cheap."
Harmony blinked. "Cheap?"
"She's the wife of the Langford heir. She's pregnant. And she's out there on a public stage, screaming at people like some commoner," Melody drawled, her voice dripping with disdain. "Making a public spectacle of herself like that... I'm embarrassed for the Langford family."
Harmony quickly nodded in agreement. "Exactly! A high-society wife shouldn't act so unrefined."
"Everyone in our circle has been gossiping about it all morning."
Melody didn't bother replying. Instead, she picked up her own phone and replayed the video.
Suddenly, Melody spoke up without looking away from the screen. "Harmony, look someone up for me."
"Who?" Harmony asked, caught off guard.
