My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 230

It was the middle of the day, and the sweltering heat was unbearable.

Alright. Be careful out there, and call me the second you need anything, he replied.

Will do, she fired off quickly.

Leaning over to snoop on the screen, Tiffany giggled. "Mr. Langford is acting like a total golden retriever these days."

Who would have ever thought?

The famously ruthless, cold-blooded corporate shark, whipped over a text message?

Tucking her phone away, she couldn't hide the soft blush creeping up her cheeks. "Let's go eat."

They hit up a high-end Cantonese restaurant on the top floor. Tiffany proceeded to order half the menu, swearing it was crucial to "nourish the baby."

Staring at the ridiculous feast before them, Seraphina burst out laughing. "Are you trying to fatten me up for slaughter?"

"You're eating for two! Dig in." She dumped a hefty portion of BBQ ribs onto her plate. "Besides, you're the first lady of the Langford Group now. You could eat a mountain of caviar and he wouldn't even blink."

Chuckling, she picked up her silverware and started digging in.

Halfway through the meal, Tiffany leaned in, lowering her voice like a conspirator. "By the way, did you hear? Sienna has been aggressively inserting herself into the Sullivan offices lately. She's trailing him to every client meeting and project site like she practically owns the place."

Her fork stalled for a fraction of a second. "That's classic her."

"Just watching her makes me exhausted," Tiffany scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Everyone and their mother can see exactly how little he cares about her, but she's still putting on this pathetic, delusional show."

She didn't bite, merely taking a slow sip of her soup in silence.

Seeing her complete lack of interest, Tiffany pressed again. "What is she even hoping to get out of it?"

"She's banking on getting whatever she thinks she's owed." Setting down her spoon, her voice was entirely devoid of emotion. "Everyone makes their own bed. If she wants to play the desperate martyr, let her."

Staring at her friend, Tiffany's voice softened with genuine awe. "Sera, you've completely transformed. Back in the day, whenever someone mentioned her name, you'd play it cool, but your eyes would turn hard as stone. Now... you genuinely couldn't care less."
