My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 267

Meanwhile, at Langford Manor.

Seraphina leaned back against the plush couch, flipping through a parenting book.

Little Bean kicked against her stomach every now and then, almost as if he were protesting his mother paying more attention to the book than to him.

"I know, I know. I'm paying attention to you now, okay?" Seraphina set the book aside, gently rubbing her stomach. "Are you being a good boy today?"

Little Bean delivered a swift kick in response.

Seraphina laughed softly. "You're so strong. You're definitely going to be a handful."

Right on cue, Lucian walked out of the study, carrying a mug of decaf tea. He walked over and handed it to her. "Drink up and get some sleep."

Seraphina took the mug, glancing up at him. "Were you stuck in the study working again?"

"No." Lucian sat down next to her. "Just wrapping up some minor details."

Seraphina didn't push it. She took a sip of the warm tea, the soothing flavor washing over her tongue at the perfect temperature.

"Lucian."

"Yeah?"

"Do you really think Sebastian is going to try to marry into the Harrison family?"

Lucian glanced at her, his tone completely indifferent. "Why the sudden interest in him?"

"It's not interest." Seraphina shook her head. "It's just... Yolanda mentioned it today, and I can't shake the feeling that this isn't going to end well."

"It has nothing to do with you, so don't worry about it." Lucian wrapped a strong arm around her shoulders, his voice a low, comforting rumble. "Your only job right now is to rest and deliver this baby safely."

Seraphina leaned into his shoulder, her voice dropping. "I know. It's just... Sienna. Once she spirals into one of her obsessions, there is literally nothing she won't do."

"What is she going to do?" Lucian asked dismissively. "Sebastian owes her nothing. She's the one who's completely lost touch with reality."

Seraphina fell silent, her mind racing.

Lucian looked down at her, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes.

What he wasn't telling Seraphina was that his security team wasn't just monitoring Sebastian and Yolanda—they were tracking Sienna's every move, too.

That woman was becoming increasingly unhinged. If she finally snapped and tried to drag Seraphina down with her...

He would ensure she never even got close.
