The Sullivan Group, CEO's Office.
Sebastian stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, a heavy, dark shadow cast over his features.
Yolanda's parting words from the night before had been echoing relentlessly in his skull.
"Figure out what you really want before you come looking for me again."
Figure out what?
Figure out if he still had feelings for someone else?
Sebastian was suffocating under the weight of his own frustration.
Nothing was going right lately. He thought partnering with Melody Monroe would be a massive win, but now he was being squeezed from all sides, completely powerless.
He finally managed to get his foot in the door with Yolanda, thinking it was his golden ticket out of this mess.
And then Sienna had ripped it all apart.
The intercom on his desk suddenly buzzed.
"Mr. Sullivan, there's a Ms. Simmons in the lobby demanding to see you," the receptionist said, her voice laced with panic. "It's the same woman from the other day..."
Sebastian's brow furrowed, his voice turning to ice. "I'm not seeing her. Make sure security knows she is permanently banned from the building."
"But Mr. Sullivan, she's threatening to camp out in the lobby and cause a scene if you don't let her up..."
Sebastian took a deep, ragged breath, a flash of pure irritation crossing his face.
He rubbed his temples, staring in silence for a few seconds before finally speaking. "Send her up."
Ten minutes later, the heavy office doors swung open.
Sienna walked in.
She wore no makeup today. Dressed in a plain white sundress with her hair falling loosely over her shoulders, she looked like a completely different person from her usual glamorous self.
Sebastian glanced at her, mildly surprised, before his expression hardened back into a mask of indifference. "Have a seat."
Sienna didn't sit. She stood directly in front of his desk, staring straight into his eyes.
"Sebastian, I only came here to ask you one question."
Sebastian leaned back in his leather chair, his face entirely unreadable. "Spit it out."
"Did you ever, for even a single second, truly love me?"
