Sebastian adjusted his cuff links, his tone detached. "Sienna, stop dragging me down with you."
Hearing this, Yolanda let out a blunt laugh. "Dragging you down? Mr. Sullivan sure knows how to wash his hands clean."
Sebastian's expression turned grim. "Yolanda."
Yolanda pushed Gillian's wheelchair toward the exit. "Don't call my name. I have absolutely nothing to say to you."
Gillian gently patted Yolanda's hand.
Yolanda looked down at her sister, offering a bitter smile, but remained silent.
She should have listened to Gillian long ago and let him go.
Seraphina and Lucian arrived at the helipad on the deck. The helicopter blades were spinning, creating a deafening roar in the windy night air.
Escorted by the bodyguards, Sienna stepped up, her elegant gown whipping wildly in the wind. Ignoring her disheveled state, she fixated purely on Seraphina.
"Seraphina, what did you mean by what you said earlier?"
Seraphina, who was holding Lucian's hand as they prepared to board, paused at the sound of Sienna's voice and looked back. "Which part?"
Sienna gritted her teeth. "You said I shouldn't regret this."
Lucian adjusted Seraphina's shawl without even looking up. "You'll understand once we get to the hospital."
Standing by the cabin door, Sienna was suddenly gripped by a fierce urge to back out.
The bodyguard had already gestured for her to take her seat.
Seraphina looked at her, a cold smile touching her lips. "You were so eager to march to your own funeral, I couldn't exactly refuse to help you."
Sienna stared at her, jaw clenched. "Seraphina, what do you know?"
"I know enough to ensure you sit quietly all the way to the hospital."
Seraphina leaned back in her seat, dismissing Sienna entirely.
Sienna's face was a sickly pale green. She placed one foot inside the cabin, then tried to step back.
But the bodyguard was already blocking the exit.
Christian smiled politely. "Ms. Simmons, aren't you in a rush to save your father?"
Sienna gripped the fabric of her skirt. "Of course I am."
Lucian reached over to fasten Seraphina's seatbelt. "If you're in a rush, stop talking and save your energy."
Biting her lip, Sienna finally sat down.
The helicopter ascended just as the cruise ship's grand fireworks display erupted into the night sky, illuminating the sharp contours of Seraphina's profile.
She glanced out the window once, then withdrew her gaze.
Lucian turned his head. "No regrets about missing it?"
