She was the society gossip queen. If she found out about something, half the city's elite would know within the hour.
Zelda panicked and reached out to slam the door shut, but she was too late.
Mrs. Beatrice Sterling had already reached the doorway, curiously poking her head in for a closer look.
Then, she let out a piercing scream.
"Ah—!"
The shrill sound startled the other socialites, and they quickly gathered around.
"What is it? What happened?"
"Good lord! Who has no shame? Leaving the door open while doing something like this? It's absolutely scandalous!"
"Wait... Is that... the Simmons girl?"
Through the crack in the door, they could clearly see Sienna lying on the bed, her clothes torn and disheveled. Beside her was a man, and the two looked as if they were in the middle of something entirely inappropriate.
Sienna was even making ambiguous sounds, making the onlookers flush with second-hand embarrassment.
The women's expressions shifted drastically in shock. They never expected to stumble upon such a scene.
Someone even pulled out their phone—
"Stop recording!" Zelda rushed forward to block them, raising her voice in a panic. "Put that away! Everyone, get out!"
"Mrs. Gates, what exactly do you mean? Your daughter is caught doing something shameful, and we're not allowed to talk about it? If she was afraid of people finding out, she shouldn't have been fooling around in a crowded hotel."
"You—" Zelda looked ready to kill.
But before she could lash out, a flurry of hurried footsteps echoed down the hall.
The hotel's security guards rushed over, followed closely by two uniformed police officers.
"We received a call about a disturbance here," the lead officer announced with a stern expression. "Everyone step back. Do not tamper with the scene."
All the blood rushed from Zelda's face.
Someone called the cops?
Who called them?
