She kept flipping through the pages, her expression darkening with every passing second.
Right. How could she have forgotten?
The only reason Sebastian had ever given that bitch Seraphina the time of day was because of these very patents.
Now the contract was expiring and needed to be renewed.
Was Sebastian planning on going back to crawl at that bitch's feet?
Was he still secretly pining for her?
Sienna forced herself to slam the file back onto the desk. She took a ragged breath, desperately trying to rein in her temper.
It's fine. Seraphina is married now. She can't cause any real trouble.
I'm the one who's going to be the next Mrs. Sullivan.
Sienna mentally repeated the mantra over and over, desperately trying to soothe her own panic.
After pacing for nearly an hour, the heavy office doors finally clicked open.
Sebastian strode in. The second he saw Sienna, a barely perceptible frown creased his forehead.
"What are you doing here?"
Sienna instantly pasted on a sickeningly sweet smile and hurried over to him. "Sebastian! You haven't come to see the baby and me in so long. We missed you."
She purposely pressed herself flush against his chest, her suffocatingly heavy perfume instantly engulfing his senses.
Sebastian took a deliberate step backward, putting distance between them. "Do you need something?"
Sienna bit her lip, looking every bit the wounded victim. "Do I need an excuse to see you? You haven't visited me lately, and you don't even reply to my texts."
Sebastian walked around his desk and took his seat, his voice flat. "Work has been busy."
"Well, are you done being busy now?" Sienna sauntered over, leaning heavily against his chair and resting her manicured hands on his broad shoulders. She leaned forward slightly.
The deep plunge of her dress left absolutely nothing to the imagination.
Sebastian's gaze swept over her without lingering for even a second. His tone grew colder. "Sienna, we're at the office."
