Sienna was actually at the restaurant on a date with Sebastian.
Lately, he had been increasingly cold and distant toward her.
It was only after she hunted him down at his office the other day that he finally agreed to take her out.
Desperate to win back his affection, she had worn a brand-new dress, spritzed on her best perfume, and arrived at the restaurant filled with hope—only to stumble upon this exact scene in the hallway.
Sebastian blocking Seraphina's path, looking at her with an undeniable sliver of tenderness.
And that married tramp, Seraphina, was actually entertaining his advances. How shameless could she get?
Sienna had seen the entire exchange crystal clear from her dark corner.
She watched as Seraphina walked away, leaving Sebastian rooted to the spot, his longing gaze trailing after her for agonizingly long seconds.
It was the undisguised look of a man who couldn't let go.
Taking a deep breath, Sienna plastered on a sickeningly sweet smile and emerged from the shadows.
"Sebastian!" she called out cheerfully, practically running over to loop her arm through his. "What are you doing out here? I've been looking everywhere for you."
Sebastian finally tore his eyes away from the hallway. "I just went to the restroom," he replied coolly. "Let's go."
She clung to his arm, pouting playfully. "Alright. But you promised to take me out for a nice dinner tonight, and you can't back out now."
He simply gave a noncommittal hum, letting her drag him along.
As they walked, she put on an innocent act. "Hey, I thought I just saw Sera. Is she eating here too?"
Sebastian stiffened slightly. "Yes. We just bumped into each other."
"She seems to be doing really well for herself," she remarked with a smile.
He didn't respond, merely picking up his pace.
