Kieran had not expected Emma to suddenly need him. He immediately put away the seashell in his hands and stood up. “Not at all, Ms. Tibarn”

The seashell, once polished, was meant to be made into a gift for his little female. He did not dare hope Emma would give him clothes like that, but he could take the initiative to give her

Emma walked over. In front of everyone, she smiled and kissed Kieran on the cheek. “I’m craving some sweet and spicy whitebait tonight. Could you make it for me?”

Kieran’s entire body froze. He stared at Emma, taking a long time to react. “I’ll g–get it done, Ms. Tibarn!”

Emma had kissed him so casually, and he was so excited he almost let his tail show.

Watching Kieran walk toward the kitchen excitedly, his arms and legs moving awkwardly in sync, Emma then looked toward Lucien.

“How can I help, Emma?” Lucien stood up and took Emma’s hand.

“I don’t have anything for you. Just sit down and relax.”

Since he wasn’t feeling well, she did not want him to do any work.

“Alright.” Lucien knew Emma was worried about his health. He held her hand, reluctant to let

“Emma, I want to kiss you.” Before Emma could react, Lucien quickly kissed her on the cheek, rendering her speechless. Still, Lucien knew when to stop.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Silas and Alaric leave the living room.

“I’ll rest up. Emma. Let’s have dinner together.”

“Okay.” Emma nodded, letting him go.

After Lucien left, Emma turned to look at Marcus. Marcus was no longer shaping little ice wolves or little Emmas. When he saw Emma come over, he immediately sat up straight.

“Ms. Tibarn.”

“What were you shaping just now?” Emma sat down on the sofa, leaning sideways and resting her head on Marcus‘ leg.

“A little ice wolf,” Marcus replied. As he spoke, cold energy gathered in his palm again. In the next second, a transparent, palm–sized ice wolf appeared in his hand.

He held the ice wolf out to Emma. She was about to grab it when Marcus avoided her hand “It’s cold. Don’t touch it yet. Once the sculpture is perfect, I’ll get Lucien to use his fire–based ability on it. You’ll be able to play with it by then!

Emma looked at the little wolf in his palm. “Marcus, this wolf looks just like you.”

“Yeah.” Marcus nodded. “I modeled it after myself. I was planning to make another one of you, but I’m not good enough yet. When I get it right, I’ll show it to you.”

“Okay.” Emma smiled and nodded. She tilted her head back and crooked her finger at Marcus.

Marcus lowered his head, and Emma lightly kissed his lips.

By now, there was no one else left in the living room. Marcus looked at her deeply. The little wolf in his palm vanished as he took Emma’s hand, intertwining their fingers.

“Ms. Tibarn…”

In the observation room at the back of the starrail, Lucien walked in and looked at Silas and Alaric standing inside, raising an eyebrow.

“What’s so important that you couldn’t talk about it in the living room? Why must you talk here?”

Beyond the fully transparent dome of the observation room, the brilliant galaxy shifted endlessly.

Hearing Lucien’s voice, Alaric turned to him and smiled. “I don’t know. Silas wanted to talk here.”

Lucien looked at Silas, and the latter responded I need Alaric’s help. If you want to listen, come in. Close the door.”

“You need my help?” Alaric looked at Silas in surprise.

It sounded like a question, but Silas‘ tone was full of certainty. Lucien turned to look at Alaric, his eyes widening in shock.

Was Alaric aware of Emma’s identity as a human female? How did he find out?

“Yes, I do.” Alaric nodded, not denying it.

After spending the past few days with Emma and her mates, Alaric understood one thing. If he wanted to stay by Emma’s side, he had to be honest.

“How did you find out?” Lucien asked.

He had not noticed anything at all.

Alaric sat down in the floating chair behind him, the moving stars and clouds reflecting behind his figure.

“I’m a doctor.” Alaric’s voice was calm, as if he were stating the simplest fact in the world.
