Chapter 527 Spending Time Together

“Do you want fruit or cake? How about something else?”

Emma glanced at Silas‘ lightcore. Besides the group’s messages, there were also quite a few work–related messages on it. Silas had no qualms about her reading it, but Emma did not want to.

It was mentally exhausting, after all.

She looked at Silas, felt her stomach, and said, “I’m not hungry right now. I’d rather have a taste of you instead.”

She smiled and nodded, then went out of the room together with Silas. The moment she came out, she saw everyone sitting in the living room.

After Calum’s earlier message, they guessed that Emma might come out soon. As such, they quickly moved from the dining area into the living room.

Marcus was slumped on the sofa, expressionless, kneading a clump of cold air in his hand. Emma could not tell what he was shaping. Just as it formed, he seemed dissatisfied and crushed it straight away.

Meanwhile, Corvin was sitting beside Lucien. Something had clearly happened–his face was full of despair, and he was muttering under his breath as if complaining about something.

Lucien, on the other hand, sipped his drink leisurely, seemingly in a good mood with a smile on his face.

Emma deduced that they’d been talking about something, but judging by the way things looked, Corvin had suffered a complete, one–sided defeat.

For some reason, Malrik was sitting on a chair, his face a funny shade of green. Alaric was seated beside him.

Alaric and Edric seemed to be chatting about something, both of them wearing smiles on their faces.

Kieran continued polishing the beautiful shell in his hands.

Drake stood by the window with a frown, clearly lost in thought.

The aura around him instantly reminded Emma of what he had been like when she first met him. Emma frowned slightly, wondering if he’d recovered.

The moment Emma came out, everyone turned to look at her.

“You’re finally here, Emma.” Corvin was the first to stand up. “What would you like? I’ll get it ready for you.”

“Some fruit will do,” Emma replied.

“I have some fruit too. I’ll go with you.” Malrik spoke up immediately.

He had just returned and needed to make a good impression in front of Emma.

Watching Malrik and Corvin head into the kitchen together, Emma’s gaze shifted to Drake.

“Drake?”

Drake had not expected Emma to call him out of the blue, and he immediately lifted his eyes to look at her.

“Yes, Ms. Tibarn?” His clear, pitiful gaze seemed no different from before, as if he had not recovered yet. Had it really just been her imagination earlier?

Emma walked over and examined his eyes. Drake did not dodge her gaze, meeting her eyes earnestly. Emma did not detect anything unusual in his expression.

Calum quickly walked over to her. “Do you need something from me, Emma?” he asked.

“Silas says you can get us to Central Planet faster using this starrail.”

Indeed, Calum had the authority to do so.

“Yeah, I do.” He nodded. “I’ll get to it right away.”

In truth, Silas had not said that. Emma had seen their chats, but Calum did not question it.
