Emma would never stop Silas from doing what he wanted. She knew a man as exceptional as him would never stay in one place forever.

Just then, Corvin was stepping out of his room, about to head to the kitchen to make breakfast.

When he saw Remy walking out bare as the day he was born, Corvin rushed over and scooped him up. “Remy, why are you coming out of Emma’s room without any clothes on?”

“Mama isn’t in the room. Daddy must’ve stolen her away,” Remy explained seriously. Then he added, “Daddy Corvin, I’m hungry.”

Mama? Is he calling Emma that? Corvin was briefly confused. He quickly took several Level 6 beast cores out of his storage band and handed them to Remy.

Then, he set Remy down on the couch and smiled as he gently ruffled his hair. “Sit here and absorb the energy from the beast cores first. I’ll call your Daddy Marcus to come keep you company. I need to go make breakfast.”

“Mm.” Remy nodded obediently. “I can do it by myself.”

He might have a child’s body, but his mind was mature. Absorbing energy from the beast cores alone was no problem.

Still, Corvin didn’t feel at ease. He went to wake Marcus instead.

Marcus glanced toward the couch and nodded. “Got it.”

He walked straight over, sat down beside Remy, closed his eyes, and promptly fell asleep right next to him. Remy glanced at him, said nothing, and quietly continued absorbing energy from the beast cores.

When breakfast was ready, Emma finally came out of Silas‘ room.

The moment she saw Remy sitting on the couch, she hurried over and picked him up. “Remy, when did you wake up?”

Remy hadn’t slept at all the night before. Emma had thought he’d sleep in late today, so she hadn’t expected him to be up so early.

“I’ve been awake for a while.” He wrapped his arms around Emma’s neck and kissed her on the cheek. Then, he stretched his arms toward Silas. “Mama, if you’re going to eat breakfast, Daddy should hold me.” Silas immediately stepped forward and reached out. “Emy, Remy’s right. Go eat first. I’ll hold him.”

“All right.” Emma handed Remy over to Silas and went to have breakfast.

The meal had been prepared by Corvin–everything on the table was what Emma liked.

Just as she sat down, Alaric suddenly walked over and handed her a box. “Ms. Tibarn, this is a gift for you.”

A gift first thing in the morning? Emma looked at the box in her hands, then at him. “Why are you suddenly giving me a present?”

He smiled. “I’ve had this ready for a long time. I’m leaving soon, and I was afraid I wouldn’t get another chance to give it to you.”

“You’re leaving?” Emma stared at him in shock. “Didn’t you say you were going to the Central Planet with us?”

Alaric took her hand and explained gently, “Something came up. I need to make a trip to Beast God Mountain. You and Lucien are in a stable condition now. I’ll be gone for a few days. You’ll be fine.”
