Chapter 556 A Bird Who Saw Too Much
Chapter 556 A Bird Who Saw Too Much
“When did Silas‘ taste get this bad? Calum complained as he talked, reaching out and grating one of Coalball’s tiny wings. He lifted him up and shook him up and down. “This ugly line thing–wty wold be give you something like this?”
The bird didn’t look special at all. Why would Silas give Emma something so hideous
Calum moved fast–so fast that Emma didn’t even have time to react.
Both Emma and Lucien were stunned.
After being shaken several times in a row, Lucien was so furious he nearly cursed out loud. Is Calem out of his mind?
Emma finally snapped out of it. She hurriedly grabbed Lucien–who was on the verge of being shaken senseless–and pulled him into her arms, holding him tightly. “Calum, you can’t shake him like that
With Calum’s strength, if this were an ordinary bird, it would already be dead.
Calum rubbed his nose, looking a little innocent, and lowered his voice. I was just taking a look. I didn’t use much force.”
Emma shot him a glare. “What did you come here for?”
Calum smiled and casually sat down beside her.
“It’s nothing important,” he said, leaning in close. His warm breath almost brushed against her ear. “I just saw you alone in your room and thought I’d come keep you company
As he spoke, Calum affectionately rubbed his forehead against hers, “Emy, kiss me, okay? Like last time, in my room. You didn’t kiss me at all yesterday. Not once.”
Emma was almost pressed down onto the couch. The arm she was using to hold Lucien tightened instinctively.
Lucien, who was nearly being strangled, protested sharply with a chirp.
Is Calum high on something? It is morning, and he is already here asking Emma for kisses?
Lucien’s cry snapped Emma back to reality,
She raised her hand and pressed it against Calum’s chest/stopping him. “Calum, calm down. We’re not the only ones here.”
There was still Lucien.
Kissing Calum once in front of Lucien was one thing–but what Calum wanted was clearly not just one kiss.
Calum paused and looked at her in confusion. “Aren’t there only the two of us in your room right now?”

He hadn’t sensed anyone else.
Emma immediately held up the Coalball–version of Lucien. “And him.”
Lucien cooperated with a small chirp.

Calum’s gaze shifted from Emma’s slightly flushed checks to the pitch–black, chubby, ugly thing in her arms. His brows instantly knitted together. “It’s just an ugly bird. That doesn’t matter. It can’t understand what we’re doing anyway.”
When therians kissed, they didn’t care if a bird or a rabbit was nearby. A normal, unawakened animal could be treated as if it didn’t exist.
“Who says he can’t understand?” Emma pushed Calum away. “I think he does understand.”
He understood far too well.
Calum looked at the black bird Emma was protecting and felt a stab of jealousy. She was treating that bird better than she treated him.
“Then I’ll throw it outside,” Calum said.
Losing to Lucien was one thing–Lucien had been by Emma’s side longer. But was he really worse than some ugly bird Silas had just given her?
Calum didn’t believe it.
He quietly leaned closer to Emma again. “Emy, give it to me. I’ll put it in the living room first. I promise I won’t hurt it. You didn’t spend any time with me yesterday–can you stay with me for a bit? Just a little while…”
He lowered his voice, looking at her pitifully. “I really miss you. You promised me–you said if I wanted to kiss you, I could come find you.”
If Emma hadn’t said that, Calum wouldn’t have dared act like this, “You even said I could-”
“Stop.” Emma hurriedly covered Calum’s mouth, not daring to let him continue.
She had said a lot that day, but that was when they were alone.
And right now, she was still holding Lucien in her arms.
She was cringing so hard she could have died.
“Why won’t you let me say it?” Calum blinked at her, looking hurt. “Have you already gotten tired of me?”
