Chapter 675 Come Out Here
Emma’s shout thundered through the kitchen, and Corvin nearly lost his grip on the beast egg.
“Em… Emma?”
Clutching the egg, Corvin’s eyes grew wide as he stared at the doorway, fear obvious on his face.
He had no clue what had just happened.
Everything had been perfectly normal seconds ago.
Why had Emma exploded out of nowhere?
Her voice sent a chill down his spine.
Maybe she was upset about not getting to cut his hair on the airship.
That seemed unlikely. Emma never sweated the small stuff.
Everyone else in the kitchen froze on the spot.
Edric, who had been rinsing vegetables, quietly edged away.
He felt completely lost, but his instincts screamed that he needed distance from Corvin.
Malrik, halfway through slicing meat, laid the knife aside and eased back two steps, giving Corvin plenty of space.
Alaric stood at the sink and went stiff, pretending he hadn’t heard a thing.
Corvin caught each of their reactions and bit down hard on his lip.
He thought every single one of them was a coward.
“Corvin, what are you waiting for? Step outside.”
Emma’s voice sounded even more impatient now.
Corvin drew in a shaky breath, set the beast egg gently on the counter, and rubbed his hands dry on his apron before moving toward the door.
“I’m coming, I’m coming-”
Corvin pushed through and saw Emma waiting. He forced a smile and tried to look apologetic.
“Who upset you?
“Tell me, and I’ll handle it for you.”
Emma crossed her arms and gave him a cold, knowing look.
“Handle it?

“Try handling yourself first.”
Corvin’s smile dropped. He blinked, looking lost.
“Huh?
“You want me to beat myself up?“.
He shuffled closer, stopping right in front of her.
His voice got even sweeter.
“Emma, why do you want me to do that?
“Is this about the hair thing?
“If you want, I can let you cut it now.”
Corvin had no idea if Emma was angry about the haircut.
If she wanted to hit him, he would take it.
He’d rather be hit than ignored.
Emma could lash out all she wanted. What scared him was her silence.
“But Emma, if I hit myself, I’ll just go easy on myself.
“You’d better do it instead.”
Corvin pulled a whip out of his storage band and offered it to her.
“Here, take this.
“You won’t hurt your hands that way.”
Emma eyed the whip, her lips twitching with disbelief.
He must have thought she was out of her mind.
A whip? Really?
She snatched it from him and tossed it aside without a glance.
She stepped in, her teeth clenched.
“So you think you’re clever now?
“You started a group
behind
my back?
“And you left me out?”
Corvin’s heart skipped a beat, and guilt crawled up his neck.

“Emma, that group was just temporary.
*t only made it so everyone could brainstorm ways to cheer up Marcus.”
“To cheer up Marcus?”
Emma’s laugh was cold. “If it’s for Marcus, why wasn’t I–the female in his life–included?
“You think you know how to cheer him up better than I do?”
Emma reached out and pinched Corvin’s ear.
“What did you even name the group?”
Corvin’s mind raced as pain shot through his ear.
He’d called it ‘Bad Haircut Marcus Cheer–Up Group.‘
Then Silas renamed it to ‘Beast God Bites Marcus.‘
Maybe Emma hated that new name.
It must have been Silas‘ fault.
He was the reason Emma was furious.
“Emma, Silas changed the group name after.”
Corvin blurted it out. “I named it ‘Bad Haircut Marcus Cheer–Up Group!“”
Emma stared at him in disbelief and twisted his ear harder, her jaw tight.
“Say it again. What did you call it?”
Corvin didn’t hesitate. “Bad Haircut Marcus Cheer–Up Group!”
He tried to explain himself.
“Emma, Silas changed it later. I never wanted to change it.
“That’s the truth.”
Emma drew in a breath, so angry she almost laughed.
“Alright, great!”
Bad Haircut Marcus?
She twisted his ear harder, her voice rising.
“Who are you calling a bad barber?”
Emma’s glare said she couldn’t believe Corvin’s nerve with group names.

Chapter 675 Come Out Here
If he were so smart, maybe he should just try bungee jumping without any safety measures.
A sharp, pleading yelp broke from Corvin as Emma twisted his ear.
He bent over, desperate for her to stop.
‘Emma, please, I apologize. I didn’t mean to upset you.”
He had no clue what he’d done, but apologizing always seemed safest.
He scrambled to explain, afraid she’d misunderstand.
‘Emma, I wasn’t insulting anyone.
“You have to believe me.”
Corvin clenched his jaw, trying to sound earnest through the pain.
“When I named the group, I just meant Marcus‘ hair looked like a dog chewed it up.”
