There were also candid shots of her drinking water.

Somehow, from whatever bizarre angle Calum had chosen, he had managed to snap the exact moment she tilted her head back to swallow–her eyes rolled upward, her features scrunched together as if they were all trying to crowd into the center of her face.
And there were so many photos that they seemed endless.
Emma forced herself to keep scrolling, veins throbbing faintly at her temples, until she reached the photos taken while she was asleep. The moment she saw them, she thought her blood pressure was about to explode.
The pictures recorded everything in unforgiving clarity–her slightly parted lips, and the glistening strand of drool at the corner of her mouth… even stretched into a thin thread.
Emma was so exasperated that she couldn’t voice any words.
Every shred of elegance she had ever maintained in her life had been completely destroyed inside these two men’s lightcores.
Corvin’s photos might have been ugly, but at least they were still watchable. Calum, on the other hand, had not only completely lost his sense of aesthetics–he had mass–produced them.
Noticing the change in Emma’s expression, Calum hurried to defend himself.
“Emy, I really took good photos.” He pointed at the images on his lightcore. “Look at this one. Isn’t it vivid? The way your cheeks puff up when you eat–it’s like a little chipmunk stuffing its mouth with food. Full of life.”
Emma didn’t think it looked good at all. All she felt was the vein at her temple throbbing harder and harder. It had been a long time since she had been angry enough to feel the urge to curse someone’s entire ancestry.
Full of life, my a’s!
Emma took a deep breath and began tapping rapidly across the holographic screen–select, select all, delete, empty recycle bin.
The entire sequence flowed smoothly, almost gracefully–yet every movement carried a chilling malice.
Only after confirming that every last photo had been erased did the raging fire in Emma’s chest finally subside, if only by half. With a cold expression, she tossed the lightcore back into Calum’s arms.
“So you think puffed–up cheeks like a chipmunk are cute, huh?”
Huh!
Emma opened her storage band and took out her makeup kit, then slowly began walking toward Calum.
Sensing the murderous aura radiating from her, Calum gulped nervously and instinctively tried to retreat.
“E–Emy, listen, I can explain…”
“Don’t move!” Emma grabbed his collar and shoved him down onto the sofa. “You like taking pictures of me drooling in my sleep. right? You think the way I eat is cute? Even when I’m just drinking water, you manage to make it look abstract. Well, today I’m going to make you look properly abstract too.”

As she spoke, Emma drew six thick black whiskers across Calum’s face and dotted a big red circle on the tip of his nose. Then she started working on his hair.
Half an hour later, Emma stepped back and admired her handiwork with a satisfied nod.
Calum’s white hair had been forcibly divided into dozens of sections, each tied into tiny braids that stuck out wildly in every direction. Every finger–length braid was secured with brightly colored rubber bands.
He looked like some aristocrat from a bad punk phase who had just been struck by lightning.
On top of that, his sharply defined, masculine face now featured a bright red nose and six bold black cat whiskers drawn across his cheeks with reckless enthusiasm
Combined with Calum’s utterly lifeless expression and the helpless twitch at the corner of his mouth, the whole sight was unbelievably hilarious.
Lucien took one look at Calum and burst out laughing.
Corvin fared even worse. Clutching Remy in his arms, he collapsed onto the sofa, pounding the cushions wildly with one hand as tears streamed down his face from laughing.
“Hahahahaha! Calum, you look even funnier than I do!”
Malrik and Alaric stood by the kitchen doorway watching the scene. Both of them struggled desperately to hold back their laughter before quickly turning around and retreating into the kitchen.
Once inside, they immediately pulled out their lightcores and began checking them. There absolutely could not be anything inside that might make Emma angry.
Meanwhile, Calum sat stiffly on the sofa in his ridiculous appearance, his deep eyes filled with helpless grievance. He didn’t even dare touch his own head, afraid that if he ruined Emma’s half–hour masterpiece, his punishment might grow even worse.
“Emy…” Calum’s voice sounded dry. With those trembling cat whiskers on his face, he looked even more pitiful. “Is… this okay
now?”
Emma folded her arms and admired her creation, nodding with satisfaction. “Mm. Not bad.”
Suppressing her laughter, she announced solemnly, “To make sure you truly remember this lesson, you’ll keep this look unti tomorrow morning if even one braid is missing, or the whiskers fade even a little…”
Emma leaned forward slightly and tapped his ridiculous red nose with her finger. “From now on, you’ll go out looking like this every single day.”
Calum shuddered instantly and straightened his back, responding loudly like a soldier receiving orders.
“Yes, Ms. Tibarn! I guarantee not a single one will be missing!”
As long as he didn’t have to go out like this every day, forget one night–he would accept even three whole days with rainbow braids on his head.
After checking his lightcore and confirming that nothing problematic remained, Malrik…
