Chapter 712 The Breakthrough to Rank 11
“Should be about right,” Emma said, glancing at the Rank 11 beast core in her storage band. “Let’s head back for now. I’ll see if I can push through Rank 11. If not, we’ll come back and finish the job.”
Jim nodded and followed her home.
Before leaving, he went into the forest and came back with a bunch of fruit. Ever since she said she wanted fruit, he’d been picking some for her every day. He made sure that every morning when she opened her eyes, there was something fresh waiting for her.
Emma looked at the pile of fruit he’d brought back and shook her head with a mix of amusement and resignation. “You don’t need to pick any more these next couple of days. We’ve got more than enough at home already.”
This male is way too overachieving. So much fruit, there’s no way we could eat it all. Just tossing it would be such a waste.
Back at home, Emma headed straight upstairs. She figured the beast cores were enough to push her into Rank 11.
Before going up, she called Jim. “Once I’m done training, I’m going to need coffee. Make sure you brew it right.”
He nodded. “Got it.”
Over the past couple of days, she had managed to train him a little. She didn’t even have to yell anymore. He could respond to her, and whatever she needed, as soon as she asked, he would get it without wasting a single minute.
Emma went into her room and took a quick shower. Then she pulled out the beast cores and started absorbing their energy.
One by one, the Rank 11 beast cores crumbled in her hands. A pure, raging torrent of energy flooded into her, wild and unstoppable, like a river breaking through a dam.
The massive energy tore through her body, hitting every nerve and muscle with the kind of pain that made it feel like her bones were being smashed and rebuilt from the inside out.
She gritted her teeth, sweat beading on her forehead and sliding down her cheeks. She didn’t make a sound. She relied solely on sheer willpower.
She guided the flood again and again, letting it sweep through every corner of her body, hammering at the unbreakable barrier within her.
Crack.
No one knew how long it had been. The sound rose from somewhere deep within her soul, sharp and clean. The invisible barrier that had been holding her power back finally shattered.
At the same time, her body began to change in astonishing ways. Strength flooded every inch of her being. The dull haze that once clung to her skin seemned to peel away, revealing something radiant underneath.
Her skin now looked almost translucent, smooth, and luminous.
Like flawless white marble, a soft glow drifted beneath the surface whenever the light touched it. Even her hair seemed to have absorbed the surge of energy. It had grown noticeably longer. The strands were darker, sleeker, and shone with a healthy, captivating sheen.

Her facial features themselves had not changed. Yet every line of her face now looked as if it had been delicately refined by a divine hand, sharper, more elegant, and deeper in expression.
Emma slowly opened her eyes. A dazzling glimmer flashed across her gaze.”
She rose to her feet and gently clenched her fist, feeling the powerful surge coursing through her. A satisfied curve lifted at the corner of her lips.
This is Rank 11 power? Yeah… this is something else. I finally reached Rank 11. Now, even if I’m alone in the outer region, I won’t be scared anymore. I can protect myself.
She glanced down at the layer of impurities that had been expelled from her body during the rank breakthrough. Without wasting time, she headed straight to the bathroom and carefully washed herself clean.
After her shower, she changed into a fresh set of clothes. Then she pushed the door open and slowly walked downstairs.
In the living room, Jim was sitting on the sofa.
On the coffee table in front of him sat an elegant coffee set. Steam curled gently from the coffee pot, and the rich aroma of coffee filled the air.
He had been staring at that coffee pot the whole time, silently calculating the timing. Emma had asked for the best flavor possible, and he clearly did not want to miss the perfect moment.
When he heard movement from the staircase, he instinctively turned his head.
The moment he saw her, his entire body froze. His round, puppy–like eyes widened, completely unable to hide the awe written all over them.
Emma walked down the stairs one step at a time. The ends of her hair were still slightly damp, loosely resting over her shoulders.
She wore no elaborate accessories–just a simple blue dress.
Yet against that plain fabric, her skin looked fair as snow, and her features were as delicate as a painting.
There was a kind of natural brilliance flowing from deep within her, something bright and alive. Everything around her seemed to fade in comparison.
Jim’s mental vocabulary for describing humans was painfully limited. He had no idea how to put what he was seeing into words.
