Carl once said that he had never once failed in anything that he had wanted to do. Even if Cedric was rich enough to control even fate itself, he still ultimately fell for his trap.
And now, Carl had successfully taken Noelle away. It meant that the relationship between Noelle and Cedric was completely over. Carl would never let that man appear in Noelle's life ever again.
From now on, the Liddells would all be good brothers and would never hurt Noelle ever again. That way, Cedric would never have the chance to replace them either.
Everything was finally over, and Carl could finally place everything back on the right track.
He would right all the wrongs that had happened in their past life. He and the rest of the brothers would no longer ignore and abuse Noelle for Xenia's sake.
Cedric watched the helicopter fly away from the lawn. He would never forget the smug and triumphant look in Carl's eyes as the helicopter took off.
Eugene spoke up. "Carl is definitely up to something."
He did not think the Liddells could go that far at first, but after seeing Carl's expression at the end of it all, he realized that reality was far worse than he could have imagined.
Eugene turned to Cedric and continued, "There's something wrong with the Liddells. We have to assign more men to keep an eye on them. Just where could Carl hide Noelle if he took her away?"
Cedric continued to stare at the helicopter as it flew away. "The island."
If Carl had taken Noelle away, then the only hiding place for her would be the island where he worked. It was an island that Carl was currently in charge of. Hiding Noelle on that island would be the safest possible move at that point.
Eugene noticed just how terrible Cedric looked. "You should go back to the hospital, Cedric. You're really in no condition to do anything right now. I'll go to the island and help you get Noelle back."
