Frank let out a heavy sigh and replied, "Honestly, I don't want to accept this either, but Noelle's been missing for so long. We searched everywhere and only found her body."

Donovan nodded along. "Sounds about right. None of us ever wanted anything to happen to her."

He could finally relax as long as Cedric didn't suspect anything. The Liddells needed to gain a foothold in Yasnia, and they'd have a chance to grow and thrive as long as they didn't cross the Greenes.

Still, deep down, he was worried about how Cedric would react if he ever discovered the truth one day.

Frank looked equally devastated. Ever since he'd learned of Noelle's death, he hadn't been able to accept it yet.

He turned to Donovan and suggested. "Come drink with me. I feel awful, knowing that we never treated Noelle well when she was alive. I always thought there'd be time to make it up to her, but now we've lost the chance."

"Cheer up, Frank. You can't bring the dead back to life, can you?"

Frank shot him a look. "But why do you seem so calm and barely sad at all? We know how you treated her, but now that she's gone, why do you seem like you don't care at all? Are you even worthy of being a big brother?"

Donovan was utterly at a loss for a response. After all, he couldn't tell Frank that Noelle was alive and well, not before the fake funeral was over. If even a whisper of this got out, Cedric would sense it immediately.

Even if he had to reveal the news to the Liddells, he had to wait until the fake funeral was over. So, he got up and said, "Fine, the blame's on me. I'll drink with you, alright?"

"That's more like it." With that, the brothers left Liddell Corporation together.

As soon as they pulled away in their car, someone tailed them and quietly relayed their movements to Cedric.
