Chapter 720 Nothing To Fear
Mason was too sharp not to notice. Frött- the flicker in her eyes, he duderstood right away why she was holding back.
He didn’t rush her. His gaze only softened. “Amelia, I know the past left you scared. But I swear, no matter what questions you still carry or what answers you need, I’ll spend the rest of my life by your side, helping you find them.”
At that moment, everyone seemed to feel the sudden pause between them. Then someone started chanting. “Say yes!” and within seconds, the crowd joined in.
Amelia’s gaze drifted from the dazzling pink diamond back to Mason’s face.
She thought of the first time she had met this cold, proud man, back when she was young, clueless, and newly taken in by the Everetts. She thought of their unexpected reunion after years apart, of all the misunderstandings between them, and of every storm they had survived together.
No matter how much his grandmother objected, no matter how much the world judged them, no matter how many schemes and lies had stood between them, this man had never once thought of letting go of her hand.
With such a strong and unwavering love, what was there left to fear? Whatever happened in the past shouldn’t stop me from being happy.
Once that thought crossed her mind, Amelia’s racing heart slowly began to calm.
She looked at the man in front of her, the man who loved her so deeply. The confusion in her eyes faded, replaced by a sly little smile.
At last, she slowly held out her left hand.
“Mr. Everett, aren’t you going to put the ring on me?”
It took Mason a few seconds to react. She’s saying yes!
Normally, Mason stayed calm no matter what happened in front of him, but when he slipped the ring onto her finger, his hand trembled.
Amelia laughed quietly to herself. Getting to see her usually unshakable Mason lose his composure like this made saying yes to the proposal more than worth it.
Once the cool, smooth ring was finally on her finger, Amelia took Mason’s hand and pulled him to his feet. He still looked a little dazed.
Then she rose onto her toes and, in front of thousands of spectators and countless flashing cameras, kissed
him first.
With that kiss, they made their vow. It was a seal that belonged only to the two of them, meant to last
forever.
Amelia returned to Eldoria from Premond with more than she could have imagined.

Finished
Her career had reached new heights, and her love life had finally fallen into place. She seemed to glow in a way she never had before
While she had been away, things with the Everett Group had finally settled down as well.
After struggling to hold on for some time, Wilda had finally reached her limit.
At the board meeting, she announced plans to break up the Everett Group and sell off its assets. At the very least, she wanted to make sure the longtime shareholders who had stood by her would walk away with something.
However, right then, an extremely wealthy mystery buyer suddenly appeared on the market. The buyer claimed to be very interested in Everett Group’s brand value and industry foundation, and was willing to acquire the entire company at a fair price.
For Everett Group, which was already at the end of its rope, this was nothing short of a miracle.
Wilda agreed without much hesitation.
On the day they were supposed to sign the official contract, the conference room doors opened. When she saw the person walking in, Wilda froze.
In disbelief, she stared at the person who had just walked in. Her voice trembled as she spoke, “How could it be you… Evan? Your legs… weren’t they beyond recovery?”
It was Evan Everett.
He wore a well-tailored suit. He stood up straight, and his steps were firm and steady. There was no trace of the man who had once needed a wheelchair.
Faced with his grandmother’s shock, Evan only walked calmly to the chair across from her and sat down. He didn’t offer any explanation and merely spoke calmly, “It’s me. Grandma, my legs have fully recovered
He paused, his gaze sweeping across the office that had once been so familiar to him. There was a quiet sense of the end of an era. “So the era of the Everetts is over, too.”
Wilda said nothing for a long time.

She had never liked how intense Mason could be, but she had always had a soft spot for Evan, her good- natured eldest grandson.
Now, she had lost one grandson, but another had returned to her.
Complicated emotions surged in her chest. She lifted a hand to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes, and at last, a relieved smile appeared on her face.
