She was sitting at a table with not only her sisters, But Slade and his unit, Sloan, Austin and Gretta, for the full moon. A part of her didn’t really want to be in this room, she would rather be somewhere private when that moon set due to what so many at this table thought was going to happen between herself and Slade.

What if it didn’t happen? And they ended up just sitting staring at each other for no reason at all. That would be very embarrassing. There were many pack members in this ballroom, all of those that had been mated off or sold, just about every one of them from those mating alliances, had been contacted and were here in this room.

It was very full, and they’d all had to bring their Chosen Mates with them. It was going to be a complete nightmare, she thought. Because any still wearing the moonstone jewellery, and some had been, it had been removed from them, as they’d come into the packhouse.

No one inside this room was allowed to wear it, Maddie was sitting happy and comfortably in her seat, seemingly unconcerned about what was going to happen. As were both Alpha Gretta and Sloan.

She looked at Maddie and asked for not the first time “What’s going on?”

Maddie had smiled at her and then chuckled “Hmm, a blessing is about to occur, divine intervention.” Maddie had then looked at Slade, who also seemed comfortable right that minute. “I believe Slade has now been informed by Gretta, so it’s all under control. Just sit back and watch.” She’d turned and looked at Slade who was right next to her. He smiled “It’s out of my hands.” He stated, “But it’s also why we’re all seated and not standing around.

It was five minutes prior to the moon setting when the ballroom doors opened from the outside and a tall willowy woman, with long black flowing hair stepped into the ballroom. A complete hush fell throughout the room, and a kind of peaceful calm rolled through them all.

She could only think and feel that woman was their Moon Goddess, Selena, as she walked through the room, heading for the stage at the front. She was in no rush and everyone got to look at her.

Her skin was as pale as the moon and her hair as dark as the night sky, the dress she wore was dark blue with many glittering stars and snowflakes on it. She looked about the room as she walked, and Ana saw her eyes were midnight blue but sparkled like the night sky, filled with stars above them.

She walked with grace along the carpeted walkway that had been set up, and up the four steps on to the raised platform. Turned and looked at all of them, moved her eyes slowly over the room, before smiling a little sadly. “My apologies.” She stated softly though her voice carried for all to hear.

“I can not be everywhere all at once. Even I, your Goddess, can not intervene in free will. I can only try to make contingency plans through other wolves that I pair up, and hope they are fruitful and come to life.

“Some of my plans also fall to the wayside and I have to try again, due to the nature of free will, yet again. Tonight, a long ago plan I started to right the wrong doings has finally been fulfilled. Unfortunately, many of you have suffered for this to come about…

“I apologize to those of you that have suffered. I Selena, your Goddess, am here tonight to grant your chosen mates as gifted mates to those of you that want that. If that is what you truly desire deep down inside your heart.

“Please do not try to convince yourself it is what you want. I understand love to the enth degree.

So please be truly honest with yourself, or you could find yourself disappointed here tonight.

“For those of you affected by the events that have unfolded over the years, and want to go your separate ways. It is unfortunate, but some of your Goddess-Gifted Mates will already have been gifted another. Due to your relinquishing them back to me. I am sorry about this, but I had no idea if this, one of my many plans would work or not, so I have to act as though it may not.

“I will grant you a severing of a mate bond for those that want it. It will be painless and there will be no hatred from either side to linger. Any of you that have children, you will have to work that one out, but I suggest you take a page from the human world around you and sort out shared custody.

“New Goddess-Gifted Mates will come to those that were deceived and made to relinquish their original Mate. It will take time, despite being your Goddess, there is only one of me to do all this work.” She smiled at them all gently.

“So please have some patience and be willing to wait. That is all I can ask. Tonight will go a little differently from most full moon nights… Firstly I’m going to alter what you all feel, thanks to a fairy that lives here and can contain what I’m about to do to just this pack. Is of royal blood of the light realm. Be nice to her. Without her, I could not do this.

“Only those that were affected by the witchcraft will feel the moon set and if you want your chosen to be your Goddess-Gifted, then you will officially scent each other out. If you do not, you will feel yourself being separated from your Chosen painlessly.

“Five minutes after that, those that had their bond severed, if your Goddess-Gifted is in this room or this pack, you will scent them out. Now, if they already have a Mate and still want to be with them, I will be granting multiple mate bonds to bind you all together. Connecting you to your original mate and their mate, a three-way bond, one of you will be a four-way bond.”
