Oops! My Whirlwind Tycoon Husband Is the Guy from That Night? novel Chapter 1

On the king-sized bed, Sonia Ashford was pinned beneath the man's tall, muscular frame, his burning palms gripping her soft thighs.

Their heartbeats synchronized in the heavy, tangled air.

Her delicate body trembled beneath him.

"I'm going to kiss you," he murmured.

He leaned down, his warm breath teasing the loose strands of hair by her ear and brushing against her skin.

When their lips finally met, the sensation was heart-stopping.

Sonia's eyelashes fluttered wildly. Closing her eyes, she wrapped her soft arms around his neck.

The floor was a complete mess.

A black suit jacket was tossed carelessly over pink lace lingerie.

A torn dress, high heels abandoned near the floor-to-ceiling windows, and a white button-down stained with red lipstick painted a picture of pure chaos.

"Your first time?"

Sensing her tension, Quentin Horton paused abruptly.

His voice, raspy and thick with desire, gently soothed her. "Tell me if you need me to stop."

His breath hitched against her ear, warm and tantalizing.

Overwhelmed by the rushing sensations, Sonia parted her lips and lightly bit down on his Adam's apple.

Through her soft, flushed lips, she breathed out a single demand: "Condoms."

Quentin reached blindly for the nightstand, his strong, vein-corded hand grabbing a small box.

"Okay."

He was impossibly gentle, yet relentlessly fierce.

A heavy, musky scent of sweat and raw desire filled the air.

The aftermath of their night together lingered.

...

When Sonia finally woke up, it was already eight o'clock the following evening.

She was exhausted, having lost count of how many times he had taken her bare.

She had practically been pushed to the edge of sanity and pulled back, over and over again.

Her lower back ached fiercely.

Her head throbbed in a dizzying haze, leaving her disoriented and unsure of what day it even was.

Throwing off the covers, she started to get up, only to feel a heavy weight draped across her waist.

Looking down, she saw a man's arm wrapped around her. It was sculpted and corded with muscle.

The scorching memories of the previous night came rushing back.

Flash after flash, every explicit, heart-pounding moment replayed in her mind.

A warm feeling blossomed in her chest, and her cheeks burned.

The night before, Sonia had been drugged by her malicious stepsister, Zoe Young, and shoved into a random hotel room.

That was where she had stumbled upon this equally intoxicated man.

The curtains had been drawn shut all night, the room pitch-black. It was as if she'd been blindfolded; she hadn't caught a single glimpse of his face.

But the darkness had amplified her senses. Her touch, taste, and smell had been heightened to an agonizingly sensitive degree.

He had given her an incredible first time.

He was surprisingly considerate, never once acting selfishly and always prioritizing her pleasure.

Even after he was fully satisfied, he hadn't just rolled over and passed out. Instead, he had held her close, basking in the afterglow.

He had wiped the sweat from her brow and used a warm, damp towel to clean every inch of her skin.

He had impeccable bedroom etiquette.

In an era of digital payments, she never carried cash.

All she could find was a single coin.

It was leftover change from a claw machine.

Sonia placed the coin on the desk. The little silver disc stood out starkly against the mahogany wood.

Sonia opened the door and slipped out.

Dressed in comically oversized menswear, she avoided the elevator and opted for the deserted stairwell.

Just as she started her descent, the sharp click of high heels echoed from the corridor above.

Then came a painfully familiar voice. "Mom, relax. That fat cow isn't going anywhere."

Zoe Young strutted over to the elevator, her phone pressed to her ear as she chatted with her mother, Laura Reed.

"Mom, I practically threw Sonia into Mr. Atkins's room myself. He's two hundred pounds, she's two hundred pounds. They're a match made in heaven."

"Besides being huge, Mr. Atkins is bald, has a massive beer belly, and his breath reeks. When Sonia wakes up and realizes she got ruined by a creep like him, she'll probably be so devastated she'll jump off the roof."

Ironically, it was the exact opposite of what Zoe imagined. Sonia didn't feel ruined at all; she felt like she'd hit the jackpot.

Having experienced him firsthand, she knew perfectly well that the man she slept with had a body that belonged on a runway.

The man had a flawless eight-pack. She had traced every line of it.

His chest was rock hard. She had felt that, too.

"If Sonia just vanished from the face of the earth, the entire Ashford family fortune would be ours," Zoe sneered.

Ding. The elevator doors parted, and Zoe stepped inside.

Staring at her own reflection in the mirrored walls, she preened with superiority. "I'm ten thousand times prettier than that fat cow."

"A whale like her only deserves a bald, repulsive loser."

"And the best part? She'll never figure out she's so huge because we swapped her daily vitamins for hormones."
