Oops Wrong Girl to Bully (Angelina) by Xena Kessler novel Chapter 154

Chapter 154*

Third Person POV

Room Four was the loudest. Someone was fighting. The sound of furniture being knocked over. Guards shouting. “Hold him down! Get his

arms!

But Room Two was completely silent.

The warrior they’d designated as Team Leader shifted his weight. Checked his watch. “This doesn’t feel right. It’s been thirty minutes. No

screaming, no begging.”

The warrior next to him nodded. “Should we check on them?

The third warrior immediately stepped forward. “Are you insane? That’s Alpha Thorne in there. We don’t interrupt the Alpha. Ever.”

“But what if something went wrong? What if she tried to attackâ€TM*

“Then she’d be dead already. And we’d have heard it.”

Epsilon, the fifth warrior, was staring at the door. His head tilted slightly. The silence is what worries me. What are they doing in there?”

From Room One, another scream. The sound echoed down the hallway.

“Every other room sounds exactly like you’d expect. Interrogation. Resistance. Breaking. But Room Twoâ€**

“Is none of our business, whatever the Alpha wants. That’s all we need to know.”

“Maybe she’s tougher than the others, maybe the Alpha is trying different approaches.”

Epsilon shook his head. “I’ve seen the Alpha interrogate people. He’s efficient. Breaks them in under twenty minutes. This is different.”

“Different how?”

“I don’t know. But something’s off.”

From Room Three, the woman’s crying got louder. ‘Please! I have a family: Please just let me go!”

The warriors listened. None of them looked comfortable.

“We should at least knock, let the Alpha know we’re here if he needs assistance.”

“You want to knock on the Alpha’s door while he’s working? You want to imply he needs help from us?*

“No. That’s not what I meant.”

“Then what did you mean?”

“I just think something’s wrong. The timeline is wrong. The sounds are wrong. Everything about this is wrong.”

Team Leader held up his hand. Both of you shut up.”

They went quiet.

He walked to the door. Put his ear close to it. Listened.

The others watched him. Waiting.

After a moment, he stepped back. His expression was unreadable behind the mask. “I hear voices. Low. Can’t make out words. But they re

talking.”

“Talking?” Delta said. “Not interrogating?”

“I said I can’t make out words. Could be part of the interrogation process.

They waited. The sounds from the other rooms gradually changed. The screaming died down. The fighting stopped. Just quiet sobbing now.

Broken candidates being returned to their cells.

But Room Two stayed silent. Team Leader stepped forward. Raised his fist to knock on the door.

Then he stopped. Footsteps inside. Coming toward the door.

All five warriors stepped back. Stood at attention.

The door opened.

Aria Sterling walked out of Room Two.

The five warriors stared at her.

Her lips were swollen. Darker than they should be. The color that comes from being thoroughly kissed.

Her neck had marks. Small reddish bruises trailing from just below her ear down to her collarbone. A line of them. Evenly spaced.

Her tactical shirt collar was askew. The top button was undone. It definitely hadn’t been undone when she went in. Several strands hung loose

around her face.

Her cheekbones had a faint flush. Her breathing was almost steady. Almost.

She walked past the warriors without looking at them. Her steps were measured. Like she was concentrating on appearing normal.

The warriors watched her go. None of them moved.

Then Caelan emerged from Room Two.

His tactical uniform was still perfectly pressed. Every button in place. Every crease sharp.

But his hair was slightly disheveled. More than slightly. Like someone had run their fingers through it. Multiple times.

His lips were darker too. Though less obviously than Aria’s.

His eyes had a look in them. Satisfaction. The kind he was trying very hard to suppress.

When he spoke, his voice was different. Deeper. “Sterling is cleared, he said. “Return her to her cell.”

The five warriors didn’t respond. Just stared at him.

Caelan’s expression hardened. “Did you hear me?”

Team Leader snapped to attention. “Yes sir! Right away sir!”

The other four followed his lead. All standing rigid.

Caelan walked past them. Headed toward the main facility corridor.

The warriors waited until he was out of sight.

Then they all turned to look at each other.

“Did you see her neck?”

Team Leader nodded slowly. “I saw it.”

“Those marks. That’s serious pressure point work.”

“I’ve seen interrogation bruising before. Never quite like that though. There too precise.”

Epsilon crossed his arms. “The Alpha knows every nerve cluster in the human body. He can make someone talk without leaving obvious damage.”

Team Leader was still staring down the hallway where Aria had gone. “Those neck marks. That’s the carotid pressure technique. Makes you feel like you’re suffocating without actually cutting off air. Psychological torture at its finest.”

“And the lip damage? Probably bit down during the worst of it. Poor kid must’ve been trying not to scream.”

“She didn’t scream once, not a single sound loud enough for us to hear.”

“That’s impressive, most candidates break in under an hour.”

Epsilon shook his head. “Not impressive. Terrifying. It means she’s either been trained to resist torture, or she’s got an abnormal pain

tolerance.”

“Either way,” Team Leader said, “the Alpha got what he wanted. She’s cleared. That’s all that matters.”

They started walking back toward the cell block. Aria was about fifty feet head of them. Still walking with that careful, measured pace.

‘You really think those marks are from interrogation techniques?”
