## Chapter 4
At the boutique, as Kane and Aria stepped inside, the staff drew back a velvet curtain, revealing a meticulously prepared mate dress.
"Miss, the dress blessed by the Moon Goddess has arrived. Please have a look and let us know if any adjustments are needed."
The dress was pure white, shimmering with a divine glow, its bodice adorned with a moonstone that seemed to radiate a sacred light.
Kane wrapped an arm around Aria's waist.
"My little wolf, do you like it?"
There was no denying the dress was exquisite, perfectly aligned with her preferences. Yet, no matter how beautiful it was, it couldn’t mend the fractures within her heart.
"My little wolf, look closely at the center of the moonstone. It's engraved with 'A&K forever.'"
"The Moon Goddess bears witness—my love for you is eternal."
Aria glanced at the moonstone, and sure enough, the initials were delicately etched at its core. She turned to meet Kane’s gaze, those eyes brimming with false affection, and softly asked, “Will your love for me truly be eternal?”
With that, he hurried off, leaving only the sight of his retreating back.
Aria could only feel the sting of irony. Kane had never abandoned her for pack affairs before.
And yet, as he left, there was a flicker of primal desire in his eyes, unmistakable.
Work? That was unlikely. He was probably off to see his little mistress.
