Jason had a few drinks, but to keep his friends from getting him blackout drunk and spilling the truth about the mysterious racer, he faked being dizzy to escape and catch his breath.
However, stepping into the corridor, he immediately noticed a girl being practically carried out by two men.
Honestly, they weren't even supporting her—they were dragging her between them, one on each side.
The girl appeared to be entirely blacked out.
And, damn it, he recognized her.
It was a sickeningly common story: a girl goes to a club, gets drugged, and is carried out. Everyone knows exactly what happens after that.
Sometimes it's random creeps preying on victims, but other times it's people they know—even best friends plotting against them.
That's why a girl should never let her guard down, whether she's out with strangers or lifelong friends. The golden rule: never touch a drink you've left unattended.
Who had the absolute gall to pull such a scumbag move in his club?
He marched right up behind them and barked, "Stop right there!"
The two men glanced back. Unaware that he was the owner, one of them snarled, "Mind your own business, buddy, or we'll make you regret it!"
"I already have plenty of regrets, but I’m making this my business. Where exactly do you think you're taking her?"
"She's our friend. She had too much to drink, and we're taking her home. Back off and get lost!"
Jason's signature venom immediately surfaced. "I think you're the ones who need to get lost. Look at yourselves. One of you is built like a stump, and the other's got a face full of grease. You're dripping in cheap knock-offs.
You two are the literal definition of pathetic losers. Why would a girl this gorgeous ever associate with trash like you? Let me guess, you slipped something in her drink, didn't you?"
When it came to personal insults, Jason was a master.
The humiliated men turned furious. One of them dropped the girl's arm and swung at Jason. "You're dead!"
Unfortunately for him, Jason casually caught the incoming fist by the wrist.
