Five years later.
A dramatic scene of life-and-death parting was unfolding at the entrance of a local kindergarten.
Or rather, a father was tragically unwilling to let go of his precious little girl on her first day of school.
Ever since their son, Aiden, had turned one, Julius had relentlessly coaxed his wife to have a daughter.
Through his tireless 'efforts', his wish was finally granted.
The year Aiden turned two, Stella gave birth to a beautiful, sweet little girl who was a carbon copy of her mother.
Julius's ultimate success was entirely due to his sneaky habit of poking tiny holes in the wrappers of their protection. By the time Stella found out she was over a month pregnant, she furiously threatened to sue the manufacturer for defective products.
It was only then that Julius sheepishly confessed to his 'crimes'.
Now, the fiercely doting father was clinging to his daughter, looking completely heartbroken. "Stella, why don't we just take Aurora home? I think she's too young. We can let her start kindergarten a bit later."
"Julius, enough! We're literally at the school gates. You've been holding her for fifteen minutes. She's three years old, she is more than ready. How much later do you want her to be?"
She couldn't stand this man sometimes. The moment their daughter was born, Julius had completely transformed. Even though they had nannies, and despite his grueling schedule as a CEO, he fought everyone to be the one to change her diapers.
And that was just the beginning. As Aurora grew older, he carried her everywhere just to show her off. He brought her to friends' gatherings, and most absurdly, he would sit her on his lap during high-stakes board meetings.
