Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 274

The Eames heiress only required five days of chemical conditioning.

The mute woman, however, needed ten full days of treatment before she was ready.

The only reason he was granting Stella three extra days of life was that he simply couldn't bear to see her die so soon. Furthermore, with the authorities on high alert right now, he couldn't afford to make a move just yet.

He figured if he waited a few days until they hit a dead end and relaxed their guard, he could strike without issue.

And in the meantime, he would get to savor this top-tier beauty.

Stella nodded in understanding. "Fair enough. At least I get three more days, right? Mind if I make a small request?"

"Go ahead." Since she was being so wonderfully compliant, not crying or screaming, granting a minor request or two wouldn't hurt.

Stella flashed a light smile. "Thanks, Mr. Kaye. Look, since I only have three days left, could you at least let me eat well and sleep comfortably?

The conditions down here are terrible. I couldn't sleep a wink last night. Just look at my dark circles."

As she spoke, she leaned closer, offering Gideon a better view of her exhausted complexion.

With her drawing near, Gideon inhaled deeply. She smelled absolutely intoxicating!

If she were turned into Siren's Scent, the result would be dangerously alluring!

When that time came, he would keep it entirely for his own use.

For the sake of the flawless product she would become, humoring her wasn't a big deal.

He agreed readily. "Alright, but you must stay in the specific room I assign you. You can't go wandering off. If you can promise that, I'll take you out of this basement."

Besides, of the three of them, Stella was by far the most capable. If anyone could get help, it was her.

Cecilia sniffled softly. "Okay, we trust you, Stella. Just please be careful. That guy looks at you like a total creep."

"Don't worry, I can handle myself." She had noticed it too; Gideon seemed a little too interested in her.

She would play along to keep him distracted, then find a way to extract the location of the factory and the mastermind's identity.

Not wanting to raise suspicion, Stella wrapped up the conversation quickly and left the room.

She hadn't expected Gideon to agree to her casual demands so easily.

He was probably blinded by lust, or maybe he truly believed a delicate young woman posed zero threat to him. Either way, she walked right out of the basement.
