Julius helped the unlucky Mr. Winslow to a corner of the back garden and woke him up.
"Mr. Winslow, you're drunk. You should head over there and rest for a bit."
The man rubbed his head, feeling a slight throb.
Was he drunk? He didn't even think he had drank that much.
He vaguely remembered a beautiful woman approaching him, saying she needed help. He followed her, and after that... his memory was completely blank.
Maybe he really was just drunk.
"Thank you, Mr. Blackwood. I'll go take a breather."
Watching him stumble away safely, Julius turned to head back to Stella, but she appeared right in front of him after only two steps.
He noticed a small bottle in her hand and asked curiously, "What's that?" *Please tell me she's not going to use it on those two women.*
"Oh, this? It's a special bug attractant I whipped up myself. I went back to the room specifically to grab it. Just one little spritz, and it'll summon a horde of mosquitoes. Want to try it?"
Julius put his hands up in surrender. "Absolutely not. I assume you're using it on our guests?"
"Of course. If they don't learn a lesson, I won't be able to sleep tonight. Are you going to object?"
"No objections here. I support this completely." Julius silently noted that he must never, ever make his wife angry. The consequences were simply too terrifying.
"Good. Go set up a guard to watch them. I'm going to give them a little mist of my special formula."
"Alright. Hurry back once you're done. Don't linger, or the mosquitoes will get you too." If his wife wanted to have a little fun, he was perfectly fine with letting her do whatever made her happy.
With that, Julius walked off to make the arrangements.
All in all, she had an incredible night.
The two girls abandoned behind the moon archway, however, were nowhere near as fortunate.
When Stella went back to spray them with the bug attractant, she also brought a silver acupuncture needle and gave them both a quick, discreet prick.
It wasn't anything malicious—she just wanted to make sure they wouldn't wake up and wander off too soon.
The bodyguard stationed in the shadows had been watching them the entire time. Seeing the literal black cloud of mosquitoes buzzing aggressively above them made his own scalp tingle.
He couldn't quite understand it. He wasn't sitting that far from them, yet he wasn't getting bitten at all, while they were completely swarmed.
Those two unlucky girls must have deeply offended Mr. Blackwood. Either way, his boss had ordered him to keep watch, so that was all he cared about.
