Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 423

"Suit yourself. Bye!" Stella waved over her shoulder and resumed her walk to the door.

"Wait!" Una called out, stopping her once more.

"What is it now? Look, can you just spit it out all at once? Stop wasting my time. My friend is waiting for me."

"I... I came here today to get that pig to sign a contract. But he's a creep and tried to take advantage of me after I drank. Everything's ruined now. If I go back without this contract, my dad is going to kill me. Can you please help me?"

Una didn't even care that she was being talked down to anymore. She couldn't give up on the deal. If she went home empty-handed today, her father would despise her even more.

Stella arched an eyebrow. "What does your contract have to do with me? Why should I help you? Your dad killing you isn't my problem. Honestly, getting rid of you would probably be doing society a favor. Like I said, I walked into the wrong room. Correcting my mistake now. Bye!"

Stella genuinely hadn't expected the arrogant Lowell heiress to be out here personally negotiating contracts with sleazebags like this. Mr. Lowell was seriously applying the tough-love approach.

Good for him, really.

"Wait, hold on! Don't go!" Una cried out. "If you help me, I... I'll formally apologize to you."

Doing society a favor? Why did she have to be so mean?

Was she really that awful of a person?

"I don't need your apology. It's not like you've ever actually done anything to hurt me."

"Yes, I have! I did wrong you! At Shirley & Co. Jewelers, I tried to steal that bracelet from you on purpose. And at Sylvie's birthday party, Rhoda Ford and I tried to drug your drink."

Stella laughed inwardly. It was true what they said—arrogant bullies shared one common trait: they were remarkably blunt and brainless.

Una and Yvonne Jeter were essentially cut from the same cloth. But Una was slightly better. At least Una owned up to her actions, unlike Yvonne, who plotted but lacked the spine to admit it.

Seeing that Una actually showed a sliver of remorse, Stella figured helping her out wouldn't hurt.

"It's just getting a stupid contract signed. How hard can it be? You almost sacrificed yourself for a piece of paper, you idiot. Watch and learn."

Stella walked back over to Mr. Warren and crouched beside him.

With a blur of motion, Stella's fingers struck a cluster of nerve points on his torso.

Instantly, Mr. Warren started giggling uncontrollably. "Hahaha... what did... hahaha... you do to me... hahaha..."

He couldn't stop. He didn't want to laugh, but his body was convulsing with manic giggles.

He had no idea what this demonic woman had just done to him.

"Ever heard of laughing yourself to death? If you don't sign, you're going to suffocate on your own laughter."

Not in a rush, Stella pulled up a chair, sat down, and waited patiently.

After five or six minutes of non-stop, agonizing laughter, Mr. Warren couldn't take it anymore. "Hahaha... I'll sign... hahaha... I'll sign... hahaha..."

He grabbed the pen from the table and tried to write on the dotted line, but his entire body was shaking so violently from the laughter that he couldn't form a single letter.
