Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 446

The voice on the other end responded respectfully, "Yes, Tiger."

Not long after, Stella was escorted into Tiger's office.

She cast a quick glance at him. He was a man in his thirties, hair slicked back with a side part, deep-set eyes, a sharp nose, and a strong jawline.

He wore a black dress shirt with the top two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up, revealing tanned forearms. He exuded an intense, commanding presence.

He was surprisingly good-looking.

She only looked for a second before dropping her head, playing the part of the timid, terrified captive to avoid raising any suspicions.

The guard who brought her had already informed her that Tiger wanted to see her.

"Look up," came Tiger's icy voice.

Stella raised her head, gave him another timid glance, and stayed silent.

Tiger closed the distance between them, hooked a finger under her chin to lift her face, and smirked. "What an absolute stunner. Do you know who I am?"

"Yes. You're Tiger. The man who brought me in told me," Stella replied, her voice trembling slightly.

"And do you know where you are?" Tiger reached out to stroke her flawless cheek, but she flinched away.

Feigning fear, she asked, "I don't know. Could you tell me?"

Tiger's hand met empty air, but he wasn't angry. He had a tiny bit of patience for beautiful women—though not much.

"Anyone who walks through these doors never leaves. If you're smart, your life here will be easy. If you're stupid... well, that's a different story entirely."

"Tiger, you're joking, right? I want to go home. Please, won't you let me go?"

Tiger let out a dark chuckle, grabbed her by the wrist, and pulled her along. "Come with me. Let me show you just how serious I am."
