Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 457

It was a specialized lock, and the briefcase itself was made of high-grade materials that couldn't be easily forced open.

When this specific number sequence appeared, anyone attempting to guess the passcode and open it would trigger an automatic lockdown, along with a blaring alarm.

The owner would instantly know it had been tampered with.

So, Tiger had set a trap for her.

Was this a test to see if she’d betray him?

Thank god she’d traveled the world with Fifth Master and knew what to look for, otherwise she’d have walked right into it.

This bastard was incredibly paranoid!

At four in the afternoon, Tiger finally woke up, feeling completely refreshed and in high spirits.

He glanced at the young woman beside him, who seemed to be just waking up as well. The corners of his lips curled into a smile. “Awake?”

“Mhm. I’m so exhausted.” She had purposely climbed into bed right before he woke up, making sure there was a thick blanket separating them.

“Rest up. I’ve got business tonight and won't be back for dinner. Oh, and there's something very important in my briefcase. Don't touch it. I'll handle it myself.”

“I understand, Tiger.”

After he left, Stella glanced at the briefcase in the corner and let out a soft scoff.

Tiger assumed they had been sleeping together the whole time. His warning was entirely deliberate.

He was explicitly telling her the case and its contents were highly sensitive. If she had any ulterior motives, she would undoubtedly try to open it.

It was a blatant loyalty test.

Too bad for him, she already knew the lock would snitch on her the second she touched it.

She debated whether she should just hypnotize him.

But Tiger was a man of immense willpower and ruthless cruelty. If she attempted to hypnotize him and failed, she’d be throwing her own life away.

But if she didn't, she’d be trapped here even longer.
