Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 464

The moment Tiger looked away, a subtle smile touched Stella's lips.

This was exactly the outcome she wanted. There was no way he could doubt her now.

Once they returned to the mansion, Tiger called for the housekeeper. "Celine, she is pregnant. Take good care of her. She isn't to lift a finger."

Since she was carrying his child, giving her the title of the lady of the house was a small price to pay. She was going to be the mother of his heir, after all.

As long as she remained loyal, he didn't mind spoiling her.

Celine beamed. "Congratulations, sir! I'll take excellent care of her."

She knew it. Tiger treated this girl differently. He had never officially acknowledged any woman as his partner before.

By doing so now, it meant he highly valued her.

Tiger turned to Stella. "From now on, you focus on resting. You don't have to do anything except take care of yourself and our baby, understand?"

"I understand. I'm just... worried." She kept her head down, looking as though she were on the verge of tears. "I'm still so young, and I don't know how to be a mother. The doctor said my moods might fluctuate, and I'm terrified of making you angry."

He reached out, tilting her chin up. "Don't worry. As long as you behave, I won't ever get mad at you."

Looking at her breathtaking face, he couldn't help but think that their child was going to be stunning.

"Thank you," she whispered, looking utterly delicate and pitiful.

Three more days passed.

Stella no longer had to worry about him forcing himself on her. The doctor had strictly forbidden strenuous activities for the first trimester, and Tiger clearly cared deeply about the child.

She was still secretly tampering with his food, but her stash of drugs was running dangerously low.

Today, Tiger came home early.

When he walked in, he couldn't find her.

"Celine, where is she?"
