Una Lowell slurred her words, completely intoxicated. "I know, let me tell you, Julius Blackwood is an absolute cheating scumbag. He's got a kid with someone else. He betrayed you."
"Una, how do you know all this?"
"How do I know?" Una giggled foolishly before continuing. "I saw it with my own eyes, obviously! I even recorded it for you. Look if you don't believe me."
Una fumbled around, finally finding her phone. She unlocked it, intending to show Stella the video she had secretly filmed at the hospital earlier that day.
Unfortunately, she was far too drunk. Her fingers swiped haphazardly across the screen, completely failing to locate the clip.
Stella took the phone from her and opened the photo gallery to find the video herself.
And just like that, she witnessed everything that had transpired between Julius and Faye Langley at the hospital today.
The tiny sliver of hope she had been clinging to entirely shattered.
Julius really had betrayed her. He had cheated on her right in the middle of their marriage.
She forwarded the video to her own phone.
Now that the facts were laid bare, there was nothing left to think about.
She grabbed a full bottle of liquor, tilted her head back, and began to drink recklessly.
When Julius arrived, the first thing he saw was her downing alcohol as if her life depended on it.
He rushed forward and snatched the bottle from her hands. "Stella, stop drinking. You're going to ruin your health."
He knew she could hold her liquor, but no one's body could withstand being punished like this.
Stella looked up at him, her eyes cold. "What are you doing here? Go away!"
She hadn't expected this bastard to track her down so quickly.
Then again, this was the capital. With his immense wealth and far-reaching connections, how could he not know her exact whereabouts?
"Stella, come home with me." Julius reached out to pull her up.
"I am never going back with you. You're a cheating scumbag, and I'm divorcing you."
Earlier today, her mind had been a chaotic mess, unable to make a decision. But after watching Una's video, she had made up her mind.
She absolutely refused to tolerate him keeping a mistress on the side.
Stella thought about it. He had a point. A divorce required a proper discussion.
"Fine, I'll go back with you. But I need to arrange rides for them first, then I'll leave."
Her drinking companions were completely wasted, and she had to make sure they got home safely.
"Don't worry about it. I'll have my men escort them home safely. You just need to come with me."
Stella followed Julius out.
She knew he was more than capable of handling that much.
Once they returned to the Imperial Gardens, Stella refused to go upstairs, demanding they talk right there in the living room.
She sat down on the sofa. "Start talking. I'm listening."
Julius tried to sit next to her, but she instantly put up a hand. "Stay away from me."
"Stella, don't do this." The fact that she was rejecting even his physical proximity tore at his heart.
"Then just speak properly and keep your distance. I can't stomach you being near me right now. Let's just talk about the divorce."
