Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 523

The second round was about to begin.

Jiro glared fiercely at Stella, his eyes burning with enough hatred to bore a hole right through her.

Stella simply rolled her eyes behind her visor.

This round, she was the lead car.

Right off the line, she blasted him with a face full of exhaust, infuriating Jiro so much he punched his steering wheel.

Ignoring him completely, Stella slammed the gas and tore off.

During the first round, Jiro had purposely made things difficult for her on the toughest curve. She retaliated at the exact same spot, and any fool could tell it was entirely intentional.

Not only did she make it hell for him on the hardest turn, but her execution was far superior. Jiro barely reacted in time and narrowly avoided rear-ending her.

"Holy shit! Mr. Lowell, Jiro almost crashed into us and lost just now. Too bad."

"I saw it. Keep your mouth shut and just watch. The best part is yet to come."

He had figured it out—Stella wasn't one to turn the other cheek. Jiro had messed with her at that spot earlier, so she was giving him a brutal taste of his own medicine.

He had full faith she had even more up her sleeve to humiliate Jiro.

Just as Vernon predicted, after throwing Jiro off-balance with an array of flashy techniques, Stella reached her pre-selected trap and launched her attack.

As soon as her car hit the specific track point, she slammed the brakes hard, executed a flawless, breathtaking 360-degree spin, then gunned the throttle and shot forward.

She wanted to see if Jiro could keep up with her rhythm this time.

Jiro never expected her to pull a full spin right there. Desperate to avoid T-boning her, he wrenched his steering wheel violently, instantly slamming straight into the track's guardrail.

Jiro lost!
