Hearing it was a Blackwood family heirloom, Faye immediately reached out to grab it.
Stella smoothly pulled her hand back. "Don't rush, Ms. Langley. His grandmother said you have to see what's hidden inside the pendant before you can have it. It took me a long time to see it when I first looked, too."
"Really? Let me see what's inside, then."
Faye stared intently at the gently swaying pendant, but the longer she looked, the dizzier she began to feel.
Seeing Faye's consciousness rapidly fading, Stella sneered internally. So the woman was weak-willed, too.
Once Faye was fully hypnotized, Stella began her interrogation.
"Whose baby are you carrying?"
"I don't know. I got drunk at a bar one night and it happened. There were several guys, I'm not sure who the father is."
Stella felt a ripple of shock.
Holy hell!
This Faye woman was incredibly messy, wasn't she?
Julius had almost become the ultimate fall guy. She wondered how he felt listening to this from inside the closet.
But there was no rush. That wasn't the main thing she wanted to ask. If her suspicions were correct, the real bombshells were yet to come.
Stella: "What actually happened when you and Julius slept together?"
Hiding in the closet, Julius finally understood why Stella brought him here. She was hypnotizing Faye.
His ears perked up. The baby wasn't his, and he desperately wanted to know exactly how Faye had set him up.
Faye: "Nothing happened that night. I slipped some sedatives into his drink and he passed out. I just lay down next to him."
Stella: *Makes sense. That makes her and Julius even. She had ended up lying next to Tiger back in North Myanor under similar circumstances.*
But since she hadn't done anything with Tiger, it couldn't be considered betrayal.
