Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 543

"Not at all. I'm going to make that scumbag Kael pay very soon." She genuinely wasn't afraid.

The knots they used were incredibly basic. She could easily break free.

"Julius, who do you think this Kael guy really is? How did he get backup so fast?"

"My guess is it has something to do with his mistress."

Kael's life and business had always been centered in Brolin City, where his legal wife lived.

For him to establish such a strong foothold in Florian City this quickly, it had to be tied to his mistress.

He knew things had gone a little too smoothly earlier. It turned out Kael had powerful backing.

"So what do we do now?"

"Looks like we won't be capturing Kael and Quintin today," Julius said. "Let's focus on getting out of here first, then figure out our next move."

"Getting out of here is the easy part, isn't it?"

"You can untie the ropes?" His wife always found a way to surprise him. If she said it, she definitely had a plan.

"Of course. It's not that hard." Stella made it sound as effortless as drinking a glass of water.

The three bodyguards silently thought she was bluffing again, but none of them dared say a word given her terrifying combat skills.

After speaking to Julius, Stella twisted her wrists a few times, and the ropes instantly went slack.

She reached behind her back to untie the bindings around her waist, bent down, and unfastened the ones around her ankles.

Standing up, she did a quick twirl next to Julius. "See? All done. Wasn't that easy?"

The other two nodded eagerly. "Yes, please teach us, Ma'am."

They no longer dared to underestimate her. It was one thing for her to be a powerhouse in a fight, but her ability to escape restraints barehanded was next-level.

Stella sighed. "Alright, you asked for it. Here goes.

When I used to live up in the mountains, the villagers down below used this exact knot when slaughtering pigs. To train me to escape if I was ever captured, my martial arts mentor sent me to the village uncles to learn how to tie up pigs. He said if I didn't tie the knot right and the pig broke free, I was worse than a pig.

Once I mastered tying them, my mentor started tying *me* up. He told me if I couldn't break free, I was nothing but a pig waiting for the slaughterhouse.

So, I practiced non-stop. Besides this knot, I know plenty of others. I can show you guys sometime. I mastered this stuff when I was twelve."

Back then, Stella had gone over to Carter's place to practice tying pigs with him. Carter had even been knocked over by a pig, falling and permanently scarring his forehead.

The other kids mocked him endlessly for it, giving him the nickname 'Piggy.'
