Julius and Stella returned to the hotel.
The moment the room door clicked open, Julius covered Stella's eyes with his hands.
"Julius, why are you covering my eyes? Did you hide something scandalous in the room?"
Julius coaxed her softly, "Be good and play along. You'll see once we're inside."
Stella had no choice but to let him guide her in, though walking blind wasn't her favorite sensation.
Once they were fully inside, Julius dropped his hands from her eyes.
The room was completely transformed. It was filled with fresh flowers, balloons, and illuminated by the soft glow of candles and fairy lights.
No wonder he hadn't turned the lights on when they walked in.
"Julius, did you set up all this romance just for me?" She had never seen him do anything this extravagantly romantic before.
"Yes, I prepared this specifically for you. Do you like it?"
Did she like it?
It was nice!
She wasn't someone who obsessed over grand gestures or ceremonies, and she certainly wasn't brimming with romantic cells.
After all, she had spent the vast majority of her life mastering complex skills under her mentors; she had never had time to entertain things that felt like a waste of time.
But this was prepared specially by Julius. It was his heartfelt gesture, and there was no way she was going to say anything to ruin the mood.
"I love it. Thank you, darling."
He dropped to one knee before her, pulled the velvet box from his pocket, flipped it open, and presented a stunning diamond ring.
"Stella, even though we're already legally married, I never officially proposed to you. I had this ring custom-made just for you. So now, I'm formally asking—Stella, will you marry me?"
"Then do whatever you think is best. I'm completely fine with it."
He could plan the wedding whenever he wanted. They had originally agreed to hold it over the holidays when his parents were supposed to return, but it had been delayed because she was stuck in North Myanor. She still felt slightly guilty about that.
"Alright. You won't have to lift a finger; I'll arrange absolutely everything. All you have to do is relax and be the most beautiful bride."
"By the way, this ring is really unique. It's gorgeous."
Stella admired the ring on her finger. It looked nothing like the mass-produced designs she had seen in jewelry stores. This one had a distinct character to it, elevating it beyond just a pretty accessory; it didn't have that cookie-cutter feel at all.
"I designed it myself, exclusively for you. The shop owner we just visited is a renowned master jeweler.
Don't let the modest storefront fool you—his craftsmanship is legendary around here. Ordinary people couldn't get him to take a commission even if they begged.
He only agreed to help after seeing my design and hearing our story. This is an incredibly rare, flawless blue diamond,
sourced directly from one of my own mines. The moment it was unearthed, I knew it was absolutely perfect for you. So, I practically begged the master to forge it into a one-of-a-kind ring for you.
