"I tracked the source of that poison all the way to Port City. While I was there, a lot went wrong. Trying to help a friend, I ended up fleeing to the border, and from there, we crossed into North Myanor. We barely survived. If it hadn't been for Fenton, I would have died in that hellhole."

Fenton frowned, genuine confusion on his face. "When I pulled you out of there, I hid you in that sugarcane field. I drew the tracking teams away, and when the gunfire died down, I came back for you. But you were gone. Where the hell did you go?"

He had scoured the area for hours before finally giving up and leaving alone.

"When I finally woke up, I was lying on a beach. I had no idea who I was. Local fishermen in Cloudcroft City had found me. They told me I had washed ashore covered in wounds and with a severe head injury.

"I didn't know my own name, so I just helped them with whatever odd jobs I could manage around the docks. They fed me, and that's how I survived.

"Eventually, I stumbled into a turf war between underground factions and accidentally saved the local boss, Bruno. He took me in, and I just drifted along under his protection... until Star found me and brought me back to the capital. And now, finally, my memory is back."
