Thank god he didn't know she secretly felt him up in the middle of the night.
Finally, she shoved him away. "Mr. Blackwood, did you forget you're completely impotent?"
"Stella, how about we test that theory tonight? I have a feeling I'm fully functional again. Since it's our first night in the bridal suite, why don't we consummate the marriage?"
Stella's face flushed crimson. She shoved him again. "Who wants to sleep with you? Move, I need to take a shower."
With that, she bolted out of the closet.
Julius called out after her, "Stella, in such a rush to shower? Are you that eager to try me out?"
Stella nearly tripped over her own feet!
This impossible man! He really had no filter!
She rushed into the bathroom, cranked the faucet, and splashed freezing water onto her face to cool the burning heat in her cheeks.
Julius had straight-up seduced her just now!
She had been in such a panic that she turned the faucet on too high and soaked her clothes. Figuring she was already wet, she decided to just take the shower.
But when she stepped out of the water, a horrifying realization hit her—she hadn't brought any clothes into the bathroom.
What was she supposed to do?
If she asked Julius to fetch her clothes, would he think she planned it?
Would he think she was intentionally trying to seduce him so they could sleep together?
Why was everything so chaotic tonight?
Stella lingered in the bathroom for a long time. She absolutely refused to walk out wrapped in just a towel, but she also dreaded asking him for help.
She ended up stalling in there for over half an hour.
Meanwhile, Julius noticed how long she had been in there and started to genuinely worry. He walked over and knocked on the bathroom door.
"Stella, you've been in there forever. You're going to prune."
When he was met with silence, his concern spiked. "Stella, are you okay? If you don't answer me, I'm coming in."
She glanced down at herself and froze. Her mind went completely blank.
She had been in such a frantic rush to get dressed that she... she had put the pajamas on backwards!
No wonder he was laughing at her. If the roles were reversed, she would have absolutely laughed at him. She probably would have laughed even harder.
"Ah!"
Stella was so mortified that the only sound she could make was a high-pitched squeal!
She immediately spun around and bolted back into the bathroom to fix her clothes.
She hid in there for another ten minutes before finally stepping out.
She glared at him menacingly. "Julius Blackwood, if you laugh, you are banned from the bed tonight!"
He immediately switched to coaxing her. "Alright, alright, I'm not laughing. I completely erased the last five minutes from my memory. I'm going to take a shower."
He had actually stopped laughing a few moments ago. It was definitely rude to laugh at her, but he genuinely hadn't been able to help himself.
